It’s official, facelift and no more V6 2018 Mustang

Yesterday we discussed the rumoured 2018 Mustang facelift that was spread around, and a few months ago we covered the V6 being dropped from the lineup. Both appear to be true as Ford has dropped the ball on 2018 Mustang models.

As previously mentioned, there are minor changed to the exterior giving the vehicle boosted appearance that in all fairness aged well as the “old-shape” Mustang sold extremely well over the past couple of years.

Inside 2018 Mustangs, you’ll find softer materials plus new stitching complemented with touches of aluminium and added protection for occupants knees. Ford now offers customers an optional 12-inch digital dashboard display that will appear differently depending on what drive mode is selected. What we don’t know is if it will be as advanced as the 2018 Ford GT dashboard.

While the V6 being dropped from the 2018 Mustang lineup is sad news. However, compared to the EcoBoost four-cylinder model that produces more power it doesn’t come across as a huge surprise.

5.0-litre V8 motors paired with the manual gearbox have been upgraded with a twin-disc clutch and a new flywheel. As for the automatic pairings, the 10-speed automatic gearbox is certainly on the way and will offer drivers increased shift times compared to the previous years six-speed automatic.

2018 Mustangs are set to launch later this year in America with the rest of the world to follow shortly after.

Act quickly before the V6’s become extinct! Dubicars.com has new Ford Mustang and used Ford Mustang for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
