Free parking Dubai for Eid Al Fitr holiday

Residents of Dubai who are planning a family day out or two whether it be by personal vehicle or select modes of public transport will be pleasantly surprised this Eid Al Fitr.

The Roads and Transport Authority have announced that all public car parks will be completely free during the public holiday, multi-level parking terminals are exempt, and users will have to pay to use them. Starting today (29 Ramadan) to 3 Shawaal, 1439H, it will be business as usual from 4 Shawaal 1439H.

Not only is parking during Eid Al Fitr completely free, Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram operating hours are extended too.

The Dubai Metro Red Line will be running until 2 am Friday, June 15 and reopen at 10 am and continue until 2 am the following day. From Saturday to Monday (June 16-18, 2018), the Red Line will operate from 5 am to 2 am.

The Dubai Metro Green Line starting today will operate until 2 am (June 15), and reopen at 10 am and will continue to ferry passengers until 2 am the next day. From Saturday to Monday (June 16-18, 2018), the Green Line will run from 5.30 am to 2 am.

As for the Dubai Tram, from Saturday to Thursday passengers can hop aboard staring from 6 am and continue to use the mode of transport until 1 am the following day. Friday timings start at 9 am and continue until 1 am.

During Eid Al Fitr, Customers’ happiness centres will be closed from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawaal 1439H. These facilities will resume on 4 Shawaal 1439H.
