Free parking this Thursday in Dubai.

Planning a big day out with the family this weekend over the course of the Al Hijri New Year celebration? You won’t have to worry about parking as it will be free starting from the 13th of September.

Set to revert to normal on the 15th of September, all public car parks displaying orange ticket machines and signs will be completely free across the Emirate of Dubai. There is an exception; multi-level parking lots will still charge the usual fee to use the facility.

During the public holiday, Public Transport timings will also be adjusted for the Islamic New Year and will return to its regular schedule on Friday the 14th.

No announcement has been made for other Emirates, but it is highly likely there will also be free parking at least in Abu Dhabi.

RTA Customers’ Happiness Centres will be closed from the 13th of September and will open their doors again on the 16th of September. If you need to do anything RTA related, the customer service centre in Umm Ramool will be open.
