Hyundai tease their own i30 N

It’s unusual for a brand to promote its own vehicle covered in heavy camo, that’s usually done by spy photographers. Hyundai has done something unexpected and shown off their i30 N in a video heavily disguised.

Skating around the ice with WRC driver Thierry Neuville behind the wheel, the i30 N is the third variant to join the i30 family alongside a wagon and hatchback style.

Scheduled to launch in late 2017, the hot hatch is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged petrol motor which is said to produce 246 and 271 horsepower as Hyundai plan to launch two versions of the i30 N.

Driving the front wheels is a six-speed manual gearbox as standard with the potential of an optional dual-clutch box available at some point.

Expected to sport an aggressive exterior, the i30 N receives larger rims, unique bumpers, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. There is also a limited-slip differential that gets a thumbs up from the WRC driver, and the suspension receives a set of adjustable dampers.

Destined to be the first of Hyundai’s N division models to break the ice, we can expect more from the South Korean brand as hot hatches are serious selling points around the globe particularly in Europe.

Hyundai has yet to reveal a price for the performance enhanced model. This is also good news for the recently discovered Volkswagen Golf R performance package.

With the i30 N launch date still a few months away, we’ve got new Hyundai and used Hyundai for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
