Lexus UX crossover confirmed for public

We had no clue what Lexus were up to with the UX crossover last year in Paris. Was it a study into future of how Lexus vehicles will look like, simply a concept or an actual car we’ll see in the not so distant future.

As of Geneva, the latter seems bang on as the Lexus UX crossover has been confirmed for the near future. To back up the information are trademarks Lexus has recently snapped up and include UX200, UX250 and UX250h. These patents have been accepted in the US and Europe respectively.

Of course, the luxury Japanese brand has to drastically change the concept to adhere to road rules across the world. As much as we would love to see those sharp angles and contemporary interior, we expect the UX crossover to draw inspiration from the Toyota C-HR which also features a toned down an angular appearance.

With the three somewhat confirmed models, we expect two petrol four cylinder motors with 2 and 2.5-litre displacements with the optional petrol-hybrid combo engine.

Upon launch, the UX crossover will do battle with the Audi Q2, BMW X1 amongst other similar sized crossover vehicles currently available or launching in the next few months.

Lexus has yet to officially announce when exactly we’ll see the outlandish UX crossover. We expect the vehicle to launch sometime in 2018 seeing as the Toyota C-HR is already available across the world.

In the meantime, we’ve got new Lexus and used Lexus for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
