Paid parking introduced in Barsha Heights
Last week, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced parking fees for residents and visitors in Barsha Heights, formerly known as TECOM.
Motorists parking in the area will have to pay AED 4 per hour or AED 2 for half an hour. Paid parking in the area is in full effect as of Saturday 17th of November 2018.
The RTA had signed an agreement with TECOM Group to install parking meters in the area. All parking slots in the area are under Zone ‘A’ which means seasonal parking cards offered by the RTA are valid in the Al Barsha Heights area.
According to the RTA, the implementation of the paid parking zone aims to ease the parking situation due to the area’s popularity with residents and visitors alike.
