Toyota Sports Car Series to be announced next month

Similar to that of their sister company Lexus and their F Series lineup, Toyota wants their own lineup of sports derived vehicles to be part of their upcoming Toyota Sports Car Series.

Reports suggest the first model to be part of this new lineup will be the next Toyota Supra and not the Toyota Yaris GRMN which is debuting much earlier.

A resurrected MR2 would do nicely within the new lineup.

Coincidently a new MR2 model has been confirmed to return, which was reported earlier this year to sit along side both the Supra and GT 86 models. When this model is to see the light of day however remains a total mystery.

Want more Toyota Sports Car Series?

What’s after that remains a mystery. Although that won’t stop the rumour mill from churning as another enthusiast-oriented sports car has been making the rounds.

More details about the Toyota Sports Car Series is expected to be revealed next month in Japan.

Along with the announcement, Toyota will also unveil other GRMN products to follow the enhanced Yaris revealed earlier this year.

What else remains unknown is the actual name of the Toyota Sports Car Series, so we’ll stick with that for the time being.

In other Toyota news, the Aurion nameplate has been retired in select markets which could lead to the model’s demise in the GCC, but we’ll have to wait and see about this one.

Dubicars.com has new Toyota and used Toyota for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
