Volkswagen Teramont arrives in the GCC

Introduced almost a year ago to the Middle Eastern market at the prestigious Dubai Motor Show, VW’s first ever 7-seater SUV arrives in the UAE and other GCC markets. With space for the whole family and more, the Volkswagen Teramont is here.

Built on the award-winning Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) architecture, VW’s latest model to enter the GCC market measures in at 5,037 mm in length, 1,979 mm in width and 1,768 mm in height and is the largest Volkswagen SUV to date and with all that room, the Teramont can accommodate seven passengers and up to 2,741 litres of cargo space depending on how many seats are being used.

With the introduction of the seven-seater SUV, VW offers a wide selection of driver assistance systems including automatic distance control, blind spot sensor, Park Assist, collision warning and emergency brake assistant.

As for the drive, the Volkswagen Teramont comes standard with all-wheel drive (4Motion) and an automatic transmission. Two engines are available including a 2.0L 4-cylinder TSI engine (235 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque) and a 3.6L six-cylinder FSI petrol unit (276 hp and 361 Nm of torque).

Having already been readily available in other markets outside of the Middle East, the Volkswagen Teramont has won numerous awards including “Best Three-Row SUV of 2017 and “Best of 2018.”

In the UAE, the Volkswagen Teramont is available in four trim levels; an S with a 2.0L engine, and S, SE and SEL all with a 3.6L engine. Prices in the Emirates start at AED 137,000 including VAT and includes a 3-year service or 45,000 kilometres (whichever comes first).
