It was the last Ferrari model to be developed under the guidance of founder Enzo Ferrari. The `F40 gave a top speed of 324 km/h, making it one of the fastest production cars of its era. And, even now it can give tough competition to modern cars.
 
After carbon fiber being introduced in Formula 1 cars in 1981, the Ferrari F40 was the first production car to use carbon fiber extensively. It was used in F40 for parts such as the rear wing and interior components, marking a significant shift in road car technology and setting a new standard for performance and design.
