Summary

This 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged represents the peak of the L320 generation, featuring the desirable 5.0-litre powertrain that transformed the model's performance. Finished in high-resale Black, this GCC-spec example has been driven approximately 12,800 km per year, which is significantly below the typical GCC average for a luxury SUV of this age. While standard trims focus on comfort, the Supercharged variant introduces high-performance braking and sharper chassis tuning, making it one of the few classic SUVs that remains genuinely fast by modern standards. For the GCC buyer, this model offers the perfect balance of a prestigious road presence and the heavy-duty cooling capacity required for the region's climate.

This Car vs Other 2011 Range Rover Sports

With 192,500 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered about 12,833 km annually—well below the 20,000–25,000 km typically seen in the GCC market. This lower-than-average usage often translates to better preserved interior leather and mechanical components compared to higher-mileage examples. The Black exterior remains a top-tier choice for resale value in the UAE, consistently attracting more buyer interest than niche colors.

SUPERCHARGED vs Lower Trims

The Supercharged trim is a significant step above the HSE, replacing the 375 hp engine with a 510 hp forced-induction V8. It standardizes high-performance 6-piston front brakes and the Adaptive Dynamics system, which monitors road conditions 500 times per second to minimize body roll. Inside, you receive the Extended Leather Package and a 480-watt Harman Kardon surround sound system as standard, features that were expensive options on lower trims.

Range Rover Sport vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne of the same era, the Range Rover Sport leads in sheer off-road hardware, featuring a proper low-range transfer case and adjustable air suspension for superior ground clearance. While the Cayenne is road-biased, the Sport Supercharged offers a 90-litre fuel tank that provides better range for long-distance cruising between emirates. It maintains a more commanding, upright driving position that remains a hallmark of British luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 typically averages 14.9L/100km in combined cycles, though GCC city traffic may see higher consumption. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from an extensive service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts availability is never an issue. While European luxury SUVs face higher depreciation than Japanese rivals, the Supercharged trim holds a enthusiast following in the local market, helping it retain value better than the base V6 or HSE models.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is the 510 hp V8, which propels this heavy SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. It is equipped with the legendary Terrain Response system, featuring a dedicated 'Sand' mode for weekend desert drives and a 'Dynamic' mode for sharpened highway overtaking. The permanent all-wheel-drive system and 625 Nm of torque ensure effortless towing and stability during high-speed travel across the region's motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of premium leather and wood, designed to isolate occupants from the intense GCC summer heat. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the region, and this trim often includes a cooled center console to keep beverages chilled during long drives. Sound insulation is excellent, muting wind noise even at highway speeds, while the elevated seating provides a clear view of fast-moving traffic.

Safety

Standard safety features on this Supercharged trim include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Emergency Brake Assist, which are crucial for managing a vehicle of this power and weight. The car features a comprehensive 8-airbag system and Xenon adaptive headlights that swivel with the steering wheel to improve visibility on unlit desert roads. Its robust construction provides a physical sense of security that few modern crossovers can match.

The bottom line

This is a well-maintained, lower-mileage example of Land Rover’s most iconic performance SUV, offering a level of power and prestige that remains highly sought after in the GCC market.
