Summary

This 2012 BMW 750Li Middle East Edition is a compelling choice for buyers seeking executive-level luxury paired with substantial V8 performance. At 14 years old with 180,000 km, its mileage sits below the high GCC annual average, suggesting it has been preserved for more than just the daily commute. The Alpine White exterior remains the most sought-after resale color in the region, offering superior heat reflection and market liquidity. As a long-wheelbase Middle East Edition, it provides the rear legroom and cooling capacity essential for the local climate. For the GCC buyer, this represents a chance to own a flagship sedan that still rivals modern cars in both presence and highway composure.

This Car vs Other 2012 750Lis

With 180,000 km on the odometer, this 750Li has covered roughly 12,800 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km GCC annual average for executive sedans. The White exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, ensuring the best possible heat management and the highest resale demand. Unlike many imported examples, this is a genuine GCC spec vehicle, ensuring it was built with the necessary cooling systems to handle extreme summer temperatures.

MIDDLE EAST EDITION vs Lower Trims

The Middle East Edition elevates the 750Li experience by including high-demand regional features as standard, most notably the comprehensive rear-seat entertainment system and enhanced 4-zone climate control. While base trims might lack high-end cabin tech, this edition adds ventilated seats and soft-close doors, which are critical for the premium ownership experience in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It also features unique interior trim accents and badging that differentiate it from the standard 7 Series range.

750Li vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Mercedes-Benz S 500 or the Audi A8 L, the 750Li is often favored for its more driver-centric chassis and the punchy delivery of its twin-turbo V8. It offers a slightly larger 80-liter fuel tank than some competitors, which is a major advantage for non-stop drives between Dubai and Riyadh. The BMW iDrive system from this era remains highly intuitive, often outperforming contemporaneous luxury systems in ease of use for local navigation and media.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 11.4 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start traffic in cities like Kuwait City or Dubai. Being a GCC spec BMW, it benefits from the most extensive authorized service network in the region, including AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors, ensuring parts availability is never an issue. While European luxury sedans face higher depreciation than Japanese rivals, the Middle East Edition's specific feature set helps it maintain a higher floor price in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this sedan is the 4.4L N63 twin-turbo V8, producing a verified 450 hp and a massive 650 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.8 seconds. This power is particularly useful for effortless high-speed overtaking on long desert highways where the car remains exceptionally stable at the 140 km/h limit. The 8-speed automatic transmission provides seamless shifts, maintaining luxury refinement even when the full power of the V8 is called upon.

Comfort & Cabin

The long-wheelbase (Li) configuration provides expansive rear legroom, complemented by rear-seat entertainment screens and dedicated climate zones that ensure passenger comfort during the peak of summer. The cabin is heavily insulated with acoustic glass, keeping the desert heat and road noise at bay for all five occupants. Premium leather comfort seats with memory and ventilation make this an ideal vehicle for both executive chauffeur use and long-distance family travel across borders.

Safety

This 750Li comes equipped with a sophisticated safety suite, including a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise control, which are invaluable for navigating busy multi-lane highways. Standard active safety features include stability control and traction control tuned for the sandy conditions often found on regional roads. Multiple airbags and a high-strength safety cell provide top-tier passive protection for all passengers.

The bottom line

This 750Li Middle East Edition is the ideal match for a professional who values the prestige of a BMW flagship and the proven reliability of a regional-spec V8. It offers a high-specification executive experience at a fraction of the cost of a new model, with mileage that suggests careful ownership.
