Summary

This Range Rover Vogue SE combines the sought-after black on black aesthetic with the high-performance 5.0L supercharged powertrain, a combination that remains a top-tier choice for resale in the GCC. At 12 years old with 176,000 km, its mileage sits comfortably within the expected range for a luxury SUV in this region, where long-distance cruising is standard. The Vogue SE trim bridges the gap between the base Vogue and the Autobiography, providing essential high-end features like climate-controlled seating and the Meridian surround system. For the UAE buyer, this model offers the perfect balance of prestige and genuine off-road hardware for desert weekends. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it ensures the cooling and filtration systems are optimized for the extreme local climate.

This Car vs Other 2014 Range Rovers

With 176,000 km, this vehicle has averaged roughly 14,600 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the UAE. This lower-than-average usage for its age makes it an attractive find for buyers prioritizing mechanical longevity. The Black exterior is the premier resale color in the GCC, holding its value better than lighter or more niche shades.

VOGUE SE vs Lower Trims

The Vogue SE trim adds a layer of luxury that is highly valued in the Gulf, specifically upgrading the audio to a Meridian Surround Sound system and introducing Semi-Aniline leather. Most importantly for our climate, it adds cooling elements to both the front and rear seats, a feature often missing on the standard Vogue trim. It also features 21-inch wheels and a 360-degree camera system as standard, making it much more suitable for tight city parking.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Lexus LX570 offer legendary reliability, the Range Rover leads the segment in raw performance and on-road refinement thanks to its 510 hp supercharged V8. Compared to the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, the Range Rover provides superior off-road hardware, including a dedicated Terrain Response 2 system and a class-leading wading depth. Its all-aluminum monocoque construction also makes it more agile and responsive during high-speed highway overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.0L supercharged engine typically averages around 13.8L/100km, reflecting the demands of GCC stop-start city traffic and high-speed highway cruising. Being a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a wide network of authorized service centers and independent specialists across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While European luxury SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese rivals, the Range Rover Vogue SE maintains a loyal following in the secondary market, ensuring steady demand for well-maintained examples.

Performance & Capability

The 510 hp supercharged V8 engine delivers a 0–100 km/h time of just 5.4 seconds, an impressive feat for a full-sized SUV that ensures effortless power for merging onto fast-moving UAE highways. Its Terrain Response 2 system automatically adjusts to sand, rock, or gravel, making it as capable in the dunes as it is on the pavement. With a maximum ground clearance of 302 mm via its adjustable air suspension, it handles deep sand and steep inclines with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the heat, featuring four-zone climate control and ventilated Semi-Aniline leather seats that are essential for UAE summers. Acoustic glass ensures the interior remains quiet even at 120 km/h on the E11, while the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster provides a modern feel for a 12-year-old vehicle. The panoramic sunroof provides an airy feel, though the high-quality electric blind effectively keeps the cabin cool during peak daylight hours.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, featuring a suite of airbags and advanced stability systems like Rollover Mitigation. For GCC highways, the Blind Spot Monitor and Closing Vehicle Sensing provide peace of mind during lane changes in fast traffic. The inclusion of a 360-degree camera and park assist helps manage the vehicle's footprint in busy urban areas.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the peak of British luxury with the most powerful engine of its era, this GCC-spec Vogue SE offers exceptional value and the right features for the local climate. It is a well-balanced opportunity for an executive looking for a commanding road presence without the depreciation curve of a newer model.
