Summary

This 2014 Lexus ES350 Prestige offers the ideal blend of executive comfort and legendary Japanese reliability for the GCC market. With a smooth 3.5-litre V6 producing 272 hp, it provides effortless highway cruising and confident overtaking on major routes like the E11. While this is an American spec model, it retains the core Lexus virtues of exceptional cabin insulation and a supple ride that rivals more expensive European sedans. Silver remains one of the most practical and high-resale colors in the region, effectively masking road dust and reflecting the intense desert sun. For a buyer seeking a premium experience without the high maintenance costs of German alternatives, this ES350 is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2014 ES350s

At 208,000 km, this 12-year-old sedan has been driven approximately 17,300 km per year, which is well below the typical GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. While it is an American spec vehicle, it offers a more accessible entry point into the Lexus luxury ecosystem compared to GCC-spec equivalents. The silver exterior is a top-tier resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring it remains desirable when it comes time to upgrade.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the ES350 experience with high-value features like a power moonroof and enhanced interior materials. Unlike base models, this trim often includes the Lexus Memory System for the driver’s seat and mirrors, alongside an upgraded 8-speaker audio system. These refinements make daily commuting in heavy traffic significantly more comfortable and convenient.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus ES350 leads rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class in long-term reliability and cost of ownership. It offers superior rear legroom compared to many in its class, making it a favorite for families or executive transport. The naturally aspirated V6 provides a linear power delivery that is simpler to maintain in high-heat environments than the turbocharged engines found in European competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus enjoys one of the strongest resale values in the GCC, with the ES350 typically depreciating much slower than its peers. Owners can expect a combined fuel consumption of approximately 9.5 L/100km, making it efficient for a V6-powered executive sedan. Maintenance is simplified by an extensive network of authorized service centers and independent specialists across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are always readily available.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre V6 engine is the heart of this sedan, delivering 272 hp and 346 Nm of torque for a refined and powerful driving experience. It handles long-distance cross-emirate drives with ease, maintaining quiet stability at highway speeds. The front-wheel-drive layout provides predictable handling and focuses on maximizing interior floor space and passenger comfort.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the ES350 is designed to be a sanctuary from the heat, featuring a high-output dual-zone climate control system known for its rapid cooling. The cabin is insulated with acoustic glass and extensive sound-deadening materials to keep wind and road noise at bay. Five passengers can travel in luxury, with soft-touch materials and high-quality finishes throughout the cockpit.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for Lexus, and this trim comes standard with a comprehensive suite of 10 airbags. Active safety features include Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), which are essential for maintaining traction on sandy or rain-slicked highway surfaces. These systems work together to provide peace of mind during high-speed commutes.

The bottom line

For the savvy buyer who prioritizes a quiet ride and long-term mechanical peace of mind, this well-maintained ES350 offers premium Lexus luxury at an excellent value point for the local market.
