Summary

This 11-year-old Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is an ideal entry point for a family looking for legendary 4x4 capability with high-trim luxury. Despite its mileage, the Patrol is famous in the GCC for reaching 400,000 km and beyond with routine care, making it a dependable choice for cross-country trips. The Platinum City trim adds the premium tech and comfort features that GCC buyers value most, ensuring better resale stability than base models. Finished in Grey, a neutral and practical choice for the region's climate, this SUV remains one of the most respected vehicles on UAE roads. For a buyer seeking maximum cabin space and proven reliability at a used-market sweet spot, this listing is a high-utility opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2015 Patrols

With 290,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been a dedicated long-distance cruiser, which is typical for a 11-year-old SUV in the GCC where highway commutes are long. While the mileage is on the higher side of the average range, it reflects a car that has been actively used and maintained rather than sitting idle. The Grey exterior is a strong choice for the local market, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining its appeal better than unconventional colors during resale.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City is the highest tier of the 4.0L V6 lineup, bridging the gap between efficiency and high-end luxury. It upgrades the cabin with a 360-degree camera, premium audio, and a sunroof, features that are often missing on the SE T2 or XE trims. This specific grade also includes more advanced safety tech and a more refined interior finish, making it much more desirable for family use and future resale.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser and Chevrolet Tahoe in terms of total fuel capacity, with its massive 140-liter tank designed specifically for long desert crossings. It offers more third-row legroom than many European luxury SUVs, making it a true eight-seater for large families. The Patrol's intelligent 4x4 system is widely considered more user-friendly for novice desert drivers compared to the more manual setups in older competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 is built for durability over extreme performance, requiring a standard 10,000 km service interval that is well-supported by Nissan's massive service network across every major UAE city and the wider GCC. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 15.0 L/100km, offering a slight advantage over the V8 for urban daily driving. The Patrol is a resale champion in the region; a well-kept GCC-spec Platinum City model holds its value significantly better than American or European imports due to its engine's legendary longevity.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L V6 engine provides a reliable 300 horsepower, optimized for smooth highway overtaking and reliable sand driving. It features a sophisticated selectable terrain system that adjusts the drivetrain for Sand, Rock, and Snow at the turn of a dial. With its robust body-on-frame construction and generous ground clearance, this Patrol is equally at home on a weekend trip to the Liwa dunes as it is on the E11 highway.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the SE Platinum City offers a spacious eight-seat layout with multi-zone climate control designed to combat 50-degree UAE summers. The cabin is well-insulated from road noise and includes a cooled center console, a favorite feature for keeping drinks cold during long family road trips. The high seating position and large glass area provide the commanding view of the road that is a hallmark of the Patrol experience.

Safety

Standard safety for this trim includes a comprehensive airbag system and electronic stability control tuned for both high-speed asphalt and loose sand. The 360-degree camera is a vital addition for a vehicle of this size, making parking in tight city spaces much safer and easier. It also features ISOFIX child seat anchors and ABS with Brake Assist, providing a secure environment for large families during daily school runs or long-distance travel.

The bottom line

This is a high-spec, GCC-spec Patrol that offers the best of Nissan's luxury and capability for a buyer who understands that these engines are just getting started at this mileage. It's the perfect choice for a growing family that needs maximum space and a car that is respected in every corner of the GCC.
