Our favorites on this model isn’t the cabin space, split tailgate, not even the cooler in the center armrest it’s actually the ‘power bulges’ on top of the bonnet, part of a complete refresh of the Land Cruiser that has seen everything from the A-pillar forwards being completely re-designed. The new face, part of a new design signature for the Japanese marque, includes a revised bumper, wider hexagonal front grille, slicker headlights, and embossed Land Cruiser logos, each angled and menacingly sculpted.


Added to this full option model includes Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) Lane Departure Warning, adaptive cruise control, JBL synthesis sound system/touchscreen system, 360-degree camera’s, rear DVD entertainment, cooled leather seats & leather/wooden wrapped steering wheel.


Lift the hood & the power bulge will impress you the most, rising as they do out of the bonnet like they are straining to keep the 4.6-litre V8 bolted down beneath, producing figures of 304bhp and 439nm of
torque. It is fantastically over the top. Yet, and this is the important bit, it adds character compared to previous generations of the Land Cruiser.
