Summary

This Nissan Patrol is a definitive GCC workhorse, perfectly suited for families who demand both off-road prowess and highway comfort. With its reliable 4.0L V6 engine and a massive fuel tank, it excels at long-distance desert road trips where fuel availability can be sparse. White remains the most sought-after resale color in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to darker shades that struggle with the summer heat. While the mileage reflects its seven years of loyal service across the Emirates, this body-on-frame SUV is engineered for exactly this kind of high-utilization GCC lifestyle. It remains the primary choice for those who need a genuine 8-seater that doesn't compromise on durability.

This Car vs Other 2019 Patrols

With 249,000 km over seven years, this vehicle sits at a typical usage level for a primary family SUV in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 35,000 km. The white exterior is the strongest resale performer in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a significant advantage in heat reflection and future trade-in value. Unlike imports, this GCC-spec example ensures the cooling system and AC are optimized for extreme local temperatures.

SE T2 vs Lower Trims

The SE T2 trim is the sweet spot for many buyers, adding essential local luxuries over the base XE and SE T1 grades. Key upgrades include a remote engine starter for pre-cooling the cabin, a powered tailgate for convenience, and a sunroof. It also features a cooling box in the center console, which is a critical feature for keeping drinks cold during long summer drives across the Emirates.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 4.0L, the Patrol offers a more refined on-road ride and a more spacious third row for adult passengers. Its 140-litre fuel capacity outclasses almost every rival in the segment, providing a superior cruising range for cross-border trips. While the Land Cruiser focuses on utility, the Patrol SE T2 balances that ruggedness with a more modern interior layout and better tech integration.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V6 averages around 13.5 to 14.5 L/100km, making it slightly more efficient than the V8 during city commutes in Dubai or Riyadh. The Patrol enjoys one of the highest resale values in the GCC, with authorized service centers available in every major city from Kuwait to Muscat. Parts availability is exceptional, ensuring that long-term maintenance remains affordable compared to European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 273 mm ground clearance and specialized sand mode allow this SUV to float over dunes that would stop most crossovers. Equipped with a genuine low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock, it is a formidable off-road machine right out of the box. On the highway, the 7-speed automatic transmission ensures a smooth, quiet cruise at 120 km/h, keeping the engine unstressed during long journeys.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, you'll find a genuinely usable 8-seat configuration with dedicated AC vents for every row to combat the GCC summer. The SE T2 trim includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 7-inch driver information display to enhance the cockpit feel. The inclusion of a factory refrigerator and excellent cabin insulation makes it a top-tier choice for family road trips between emirates.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a comprehensive airbag system protecting all three rows. Nissan's specialized stability control is tuned for sandy surfaces, while cruise control and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution provide confidence during high-speed highway driving.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a durable, high-capacity family SUV with proven desert capability, this white GCC-spec Patrol SE T2 offers the best balance of features and long-term value retention.
