Summary

This 2020 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City + is an exceptional find for the GCC market, combining the highly desirable facelift styling with remarkably low mileage for its six-year age. Its Blue exterior offers a sophisticated alternative to the common white and silver, while maintaining strong resale appeal as a top-tier V6 trim. The 4.0L engine is perfectly suited for daily Dubai or Riyadh commutes, offering a more efficient alternative to the V8 without sacrificing the iconic Y62 road presence. For a buyer seeking the ultimate blend of luxury features and Japanese reliability, this specific listing represents one of the lowest-mileage examples of its kind currently available in the region.

This Car vs Other 2020 Nissan Patrols

At just 27,800 km, this vehicle has covered significantly less distance than the typical 120,000–150,000 km expected for a six-year-old SUV in the GCC. While many Patrols of this vintage have been used for heavy desert work or long-distance interstate travel, this example's mileage suggests a life of light urban use. The Blue paintwork is a premium choice that stands out in a market saturated with white, often attracting a quicker sale from buyers looking for a more distinctive executive look.

SE PLATINUM CITY + vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City + adds substantial luxury over the SE Titanium and SE T2 trims, most notably the 'City Bumper' for a more aggressive street stance and 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Inside, it elevates the experience with quilted leather upholstery, ventilated front seats that are essential for the Gulf summer, and a built-in refrigerator. You also benefit from the full 360-degree Around View Monitor and a premium Bose audio system that lower-spec models lack.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Ford Expedition in terms of pure cabin volume and second-row shoulder room, making it the preferred choice for large GCC families. Its massive 140-litre fuel capacity is a major advantage over the Land Cruiser for long-distance desert trips or highway runs between Emirates, requiring fewer refueling stops. Additionally, the Patrol’s independent rear suspension provides a more refined, car-like ride quality on paved roads compared to traditional live-axle competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V6 typically averages around 11.8 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic can see this rise toward 15-16 L/100km with full AC usage. Nissan enjoys one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are affordable and readily available even in remote areas. The Patrol historically retains approximately 55-60% of its value after five years in the GCC, significantly outperforming European luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 275 hp V6, this Patrol focuses on smooth, reliable power delivery suitable for the vast GCC highway network. It retains a genuine low-range transfer case and selectable drive modes—including Sand, Rock, and Snow—ensuring it is just as capable of weekend dune drives as it is of city cruising. The 7-speed automatic transmission is geared for efficiency, providing a quiet cabin environment even at 120 km/h cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the heat, featuring a high-output multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents that reach all three rows effectively. Eight passengers can travel in comfort thanks to the genuine quilted leather seating and the added luxury of ventilated front chairs. Tech-wise, the Platinum City trim includes rear-seat entertainment screens to keep younger passengers occupied during long cross-border drives, while acoustic glass keeps road noise to a minimum.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive safety suite designed for the high-speed environment of Gulf highways, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking. The 360-degree Around View Monitor is particularly helpful for maneuvering this full-sized SUV in tight parking malls, while Blind Spot Warning provides essential alerts during lane changes on busy multi-lane roads. A full array of front, side, and curtain airbags ensures maximum protection for all eight occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a top-spec, facelifted Patrol with near-delivery mileage, offering the perfect balance of V6 efficiency and Platinum-level luxury for the discerning GCC family.
