Bentley Bentayga S

Highlights

• Hand-built engine
• Top-tier audio system standard
• Most advanced ADAS standard

Summary

This Bentley Bentayga S represents a compelling entry point for a buyer seeking the more aggressive, driver-focused iteration of the world’s most refined SUV. With mileage significantly below the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typically seen in the GCC, this vehicle has been sparingly used and presents in excellent condition. The S trim stands out in the pre-owned market by offering the Blackline specification and a sport-tuned suspension as standard, features that command a high premium when purchased new. Its black exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and wider region, ensuring it retains its value and appeal for future resale. In a market crowded with standard luxury SUVs, this specific example provides the perfect balance of grand touring comfort and heightened engagement. For the GCC buyer, this is a chance to own a modern, high-spec Bentley that is just beginning its lifecycle, avoiding the steep initial depreciation while enjoying a vehicle that is perfectly suited for the prestige of city life and the demands of long-range regional travel.

This Car vs Other 2022 Bentaygas

At just over 20,000 km, this Bentayga S is well below the typical mileage one would expect for a 2022 model year vehicle in the GCC, where long commutes between Emirates often drive annual usage much higher. Most 2022 examples currently on the market have already crossed the 40,000 km threshold, making this listing particularly attractive for those who prioritize mechanical longevity. The exterior color choice is a massive advantage in the regional secondary market; black remains a top-tier resale color in Dubai and Riyadh, often selling faster and at a higher price point than more niche shades. As a European specification vehicle, it comes with a high level of standard equipment often missing from other regional imports. The low mileage suggests that the interior leather and touchpoints have been well-preserved, maintaining the factory-fresh feel that Bentley owners demand. Buyers looking at this specific car are getting a vehicle that has effectively skipped the harshest phase of its service life while remaining in near-showroom condition.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim is a significant step up from the standard V8 model, specifically tailored for owners who occasionally prefer to sit in the driver’s seat rather than the rear. It introduces the Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which uses a 48V active roll control system to keep the car flat through corners—a feature that makes a noticeable difference on the sweeping highway loops of the UAE. Visually, the S trim includes the Blackline Specification as standard, replacing all exterior chrome with high-gloss black trim for a much more contemporary and aggressive look. The interior is also upgraded with a unique 'S' color split featuring Alcantara elements that provide better grip and heat management than full leather in the summer months. You also get the Sports Exhaust as standard, which provides a more evocative V8 soundtrack without sacrificing the cabin's legendary insulation. Perhaps most importantly for the GCC climate, the S trim often comes bundled with higher-tier seat comfort specifications, ensuring that ventilated and massaging seats are present to handle the extreme heat.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Lamborghini Urus or the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Bentayga S occupies a unique 'sweet spot' in the GCC luxury SUV market. It offers a level of handcrafted interior detail that the Urus cannot match, using sustainably sourced wood veneers and hand-stitched hides that feel significantly more bespoke. Conversely, while the Cullinan focuses entirely on isolation, the Bentayga S provides a much more engaging driving experience, making it the preferred choice for those who enjoy driving themselves from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Its fuel tank capacity is generous, allowing for long-distance cruising without the frequent stops required by some high-performance rivals. The air conditioning system in the Bentley is also widely regarded as one of the best in the segment, capable of reaching cabin-chilling temperatures in minutes even when the outside air exceeds 45 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the Bentayga's infotainment system is more intuitive than many European competitors, offering seamless integration for modern smartphones which is essential for navigating evolving GCC road networks.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a Bentley in the GCC is supported by a very strong network of authorized service centers, particularly in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Riyadh. While European luxury SUVs naturally depreciate faster than mass-market Japanese brands, the Bentayga S holds its value remarkably well compared to its immediate peers like the Aston Martin DBX. Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V8 is surprisingly efficient during steady highway cruising, though stop-start traffic in downtown Riyadh or Dubai Marina will see those figures rise. We recommend using 98-octane Super petrol to maintain the health of the hand-built engine and ensure peak performance in high temperatures. Service intervals are typically every 16,000 km or annually, and since this car has only covered 20,335 km, it is likely just coming off its first major check-up. As a European spec car, buyers should verify service history and regional warranty compatibility, though the parts availability in the UAE is excellent with most components ready for immediate dispatch from regional warehouses.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood sits a hand-assembled 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers effortless power, capable of propelling this large SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The top speed is a remarkable 290 km/h, which speaks to the car's incredible stability at the higher speeds permitted on GCC trans-national highways. The S trim specifically features a enhanced 'Sport' mode that sharpens the throttle response and firms up the air suspension, making it feel surprisingly nimble for its size. For those weekend trips to the desert or the Hajar Mountains, the permanent all-wheel-drive system and adjustable ride height provide genuine capability on sand tracks and gravel roads. It offers multiple off-road modes that recalibrate the traction control and torque distribution to handle soft surfaces with confidence. The towing capacity is also best-in-class for a luxury SUV, should you need to transport jet skis or horse trailers to the coast. This is a vehicle that feels as much at home on a high-speed motorway as it does navigating a rugged mountain pass in Ras Al Khaimah.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of this Bentayga S is a masterclass in craftsmanship, featuring a five-seat configuration that offers ample legroom and headroom for all passengers. For the GCC owner, the standard ventilated seats are a critical feature, providing cooling airflow that is essential during the long summer months. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated, using acoustic glazing to ensure that the noise of wind and surrounding traffic remains a world away. The Naim for Bentley audio system, if equipped, or the standard Signature audio both provide an immersive experience that rivals a home concert hall. The rear seats feature their own climate zone controls, ensuring that family members remain comfortable regardless of the temperature outside. The boot space is generous and flat, easily accommodating large suitcases for trips to the airport or golf bags for a weekend at the club. Every surface you touch, from the knurled metal organ-stop air vents to the soft-touch leather headliner, reminds you that this is a vehicle built to a standard, not a price.

Safety

Safety in the Bentayga S is comprehensive, utilizing a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that are particularly beneficial in the fast-paced GCC driving environment. The adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist make the long stretches of highway between cities much less taxing, while the blind-spot monitoring is vital for navigating the multi-lane interchanges of Dubai. Night vision technology is an available highlight that helps identify hazards on unlit desert roads after dark. The car also features a 360-degree camera system with high-resolution displays, making it surprisingly easy to park this large SUV in tight mall parking spaces. Multiple airbags and a reinforced body structure provide peace of mind, while the advanced stability control systems are specifically tuned to handle the loss of traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces. Bentley’s Pre-Sense system can even detect an impending collision and tighten seatbelts while closing windows to protect occupants, ensuring maximum safety in any scenario.

The bottom line

This 2022 Bentayga S is a perfect choice for the executive or family who wants the ultimate blend of British luxury and modern performance without waiting for a new build. With its low mileage and highly desirable black-on-black aesthetic, it represents one of the most sensible and stylish ways to enter Bentley ownership in the current GCC market.
