Summary

This 2022 Lexus ES350 Platinum is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers, offering exceptionally low mileage of just 12,327 km, which is far below the regional average for a two-year-old vehicle. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the UAE and wider Gulf market, ensuring long-term value retention. As the top-tier Platinum trim, it provides a level of refinement and cooling efficiency that rivals struggles to match, making it ideally suited for the intense local summers. For those seeking the legendary reliability of a Lexus V6 with near-new internals, this Canadian-spec sedan offers a sophisticated executive experience ready for immediate use.

This Car vs Other 2022 ES350s

With just 12,327 km on the odometer, this ES350 has been driven significantly less than the typical 40,000–50,000 km expected for a 2022 model in the GCC. While it is a Canadian-spec vehicle, it shares the same robust 3.5L V6 powertrain favored by local buyers for its durability. The Black-on-Black configuration is a highly sought-after combination that typically commands a premium and faster turnaround in the pre-owned market.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim elevates the ES350 far beyond the base and Luxury grades by adding high-value features like the 17-speaker Mark Levinson PurePlay surround sound system and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. It also includes the Head-Up Display and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, which are essential for navigating tight parking in Dubai or Riyadh. Most importantly for this region, the Platinum features enhanced semi-aniline leather seats with superior ventilation for maximum comfort in extreme heat.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to European rivals like the BMW 5 Series or Audi A6, the ES350 leads with a naturally aspirated V6 that offers simpler long-term maintenance and smoother power delivery for highway cruising. Its cabin is widely regarded as one of the quietest in the segment, thanks to extensive acoustic glass that filters out road noise during long trans-emirate drives. The Lexus also benefits from a significantly larger service footprint across all six GCC nations.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 delivers a combined fuel economy of approximately 9.0 L/100km, performing efficiently on long highway stretches between cities. Lexus remains one of the best-performing brands for resale in the Middle East, with the ES350 typically retaining up to 75% of its value after three years. While this is a Canadian spec, parts are interchangeable with GCC models, and specialized Lexus service centers are readily available in every major UAE city.

Performance & Capability

The 302-horsepower V6 engine provides effortless acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in approximately 6.6 seconds, ensuring confident overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. The Direct-Shift 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for silk-smooth shifts rather than aggressive snaps, matching the car's executive character. Front-wheel drive provides stable, predictable handling in city traffic and during rare heavy rain events on local roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a sanctuary of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring power-adjustable seats with memory functions and four-way lumbar support. Passengers in the rear benefit from generous legroom and dedicated cooling vents, essential for family transport during the summer months. The power rear sunshade and manual side shades provide additional protection from the intense Gulf sun, keeping the cabin significantly cooler when parked.

Safety

Standard on this trim is the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, perfect for long desert highway drives. It also features Lane Tracing Assist and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to help manage the fast-paced multi-lane traffic common in major GCC metros. Ten airbags and a rigid body structure provide top-tier passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This is the perfect choice for an executive or family looking for a high-spec, ultra-low-mileage luxury sedan that combines Lexus reliability with a premium feature set at a competitive price point.
