Summary

This Nissan Patrol is a definitive choice for GCC families, offering the 2020 facelift's modernized aesthetics paired with the practical V6 powertrain. The Grey exterior is a high-demand, high-resale color in the region, effectively masking road dust while maintaining a professional appearance. With its 8-seater configuration and advanced Titanium trim features, it provides a luxury experience that bridges the gap between base workhorses and the more fuel-heavy V8 models. For the regional buyer, this vehicle offers the perfect balance of prestige, immense cabin space, and the reliability that comes with Nissan's massive local service footprint.

This Car vs Other 2020 Patrols

At 144,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is consistent with typical GCC highway use of roughly 35,000 km per year, often indicating a life of long-distance cruising rather than stressful city idling. The Grey paintwork is a significant asset for local resale, holding value better than niche colors due to its popularity in the UAE and Saudi markets. As a 2020 model, it benefits from the major Y62 facelift, featuring the revised grille and dual-screen interior that keeps it looking current alongside newer inventory.

SE TITANIUM vs Lower Trims

The SE Titanium trim is a substantial leap over the base XE and SE T2 grades, adding essential GCC luxuries like a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system and dual rear entertainment screens for family trips. It upgrades the cabin with leatherette upholstery and a sunroof, while external presence is enhanced by 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Most importantly for highway safety, this trim introduces the Intelligent Cruise Control and Around View Monitor not found on entry-level versions.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 4.0L, the Patrol offers a more modern interior layout with its dual-screen infotainment system and a larger 140-litre fuel tank for superior range between emirates. While the Chevrolet Tahoe provides similar space, the Patrol leads in off-road hardware, featuring a dedicated low-range transfer case and selectable terrain modes as standard. Its independent rear suspension also provides a more settled ride on the highway compared to the live-axle setups found in some American competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 is designed for longevity and typically averages around 11.8 L/100km on the highway, providing a cost-efficient alternative to the V8 for daily commuting. Maintenance is straightforward across the GCC, with Nissan's authorized service network being one of the most accessible in the region, from Dubai to Riyadh. The Patrol remains a 'gold standard' for value retention in the Middle East, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp V6 engine provides smooth, linear power delivery, capable of a 200 km/h top speed and enough torque for confident overtaking on the E11. Its All-Wheel Drive system is paired with a heavy-duty body-on-frame construction, making it genuinely capable for weekend desert excursions or dune crossing. A 140-litre fuel tank ensures a theoretical highway range of over 900 km, reducing the need for frequent stops during cross-border drives.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 8-seat layout is supported by a powerful triple-zone climate control system with dedicated ceiling vents reaching all the way to the third row—a critical feature for the GCC summer. The Titanium trim includes a cooled center console (cool box) to keep drinks chilled during long desert drives. Acoustic glass and improved insulation in the 2020 facelift ensure a quiet environment, shielding passengers from high-speed wind noise and external heat.

Safety

This Titanium trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Nissan’s Intelligent Around View Monitor with 360-degree coverage, which is essential for maneuvering a vehicle of this size. Active safety features like Intelligent Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Blind Spot Intervention provide a vital safety net during fast-moving highway traffic. It also features a full complement of airbags and ISOFIX points, cementing its status as a top-tier family transport option.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking the updated 2020 styling and premium Bose audio without the V8's fuel overhead, this well-maintained Titanium trim represents the 'sweet spot' of the Patrol range.
