Summary

This 2022 Nissan Patrol SE Titanium offers a compelling entry into the legendary Y62 family, balancing iconic presence with the more efficient V6 powertrain. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is perfectly adapted for the region’s high-temperature demands with a cooling system and air conditioning performance that rivals in this segment struggle to match. The Titanium trim is a sweet spot in the range, providing premium leatherette interiors and advanced tech without the steep depreciation of higher V8 variants. White remains the most sought-after resale color in the UAE, ensuring this SUV stays a liquid asset. For any buyer prioritizing long-distance cruising and daily urban usability, the Patrol’s reputation for reliability makes it a definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Patrols

With approximately 119,799 km, this vehicle reflects typical GCC highway use where annual averages often reach 30,000 km. While the mileage is standard for a three-year-old regional workhorse, the white exterior provides a significant advantage for heat reflection and future resale value. It offers a more accessible entry point than the high-mileage V8s often found in this price bracket.

SE Titanium vs Lower Trims

The SE Titanium adds essential luxury and convenience features over the base XE and SE T1 trims, most notably the 360-degree camera system and a sunroof. It also upgrades the cabin with premium leatherette upholstery and a larger infotainment display, alongside a power tailgate and remote engine start, which is vital for pre-cooling the interior during Middle Eastern summers.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads its primary rival, the Toyota Land Cruiser, in terms of sheer cabin volume and third-row accessibility for large families. Its massive 140-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long desert highway stretches between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. Furthermore, the Nissan’s independent rear suspension offers a noticeably smoother on-road ride than more truck-like competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V6 typically averages around 14.2 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though heavy stop-start city traffic can see this rise. Maintenance is straightforward thanks to one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the region, including Al Masaood and AW Rostamani. The Patrol consistently ranks among the top three vehicles for value retention in the UAE, typically depreciating at a lower rate than European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0-litre V6 produces 275 hp and 394 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission designed for effortless highway overtaking. Its body-on-frame construction and selectable 4WD modes—including Sand, Mud, and Rock—ensure it is genuinely capable of weekend desert excursions. The generous ground clearance and specialized off-road bumpers allow it to navigate terrain that would stop most road-biased crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the eight-seat configuration is designed for maximum family utility, featuring a tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to combat extreme heat. Acoustic glass and thick insulation keep the cabin remarkably quiet even at high highway speeds. The integrated cool box in the center console is a quintessential GCC feature, keeping beverages chilled during long summer drives.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the SE Titanium includes a comprehensive airbag suite covering all three rows and advanced driver aids like Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems are particularly effective on the UAE's multi-lane highways, providing an extra layer of security during lane changes. It also features Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Hill Start Assist to maintain stability on shifting sand or steep inclines.

The bottom line

This Patrol is the ideal match for a family seeking the prestige and scale of a Y62 with the sensible running costs of a V6, all while benefiting from the strongest resale color in the local market.
