Summary

This 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Black Edition stands out as a high-demand strategic buy, combining the peak luxury of the LC300 generation with exceptionally low mileage for a UAE-based vehicle. The Black Edition trim adds a sophisticated visual edge to the legendary 4x4, while the twin-turbo V6 provides a significant power leap over the previous V8 models for better highway overtaking. In the local market, this specific brown exterior is a unique, premium alternative to the common white and silver, yet it retains the rock-solid resale value that defines the Land Cruiser name. For a GCC buyer, this represents the perfect balance of a near-new mechanical state and the immediate availability of the region's most trusted luxury workhorse.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With only 26,540 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less distance than the average GCC annual usage of 20,000–25,000 km, positioning it as a top-tier choice for reliability. While most 2022 models in the market have already surpassed 50,000 km, this unit offers a mechanical condition much closer to a new vehicle. The unique brown exterior serves as a distinctive mark of exclusivity while still benefiting from the legendary high demand and liquidity of the Land Cruiser brand in the Middle East.

BLACK EDITION vs Lower Trims

The Black Edition serves as a specialized aesthetic and feature-rich upgrade over the standard GXR and VX trims, featuring darkened chrome accents and exclusive interior detailing that command a higher presence on the road. Beyond the looks, it typically incorporates premium tech found in the VXR, such as the 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 360-degree camera system, and ventilated seats that are essential for the GCC's summer heat. This trim bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-end executive styling, making it one of the most desirable specifications for urban and desert use alike.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser leads with its newer TNGA-F platform architecture, which offers a more refined highway ride and sharper handling. While the Nissan remains a formidable rival, the Toyota’s 10-speed automatic transmission provides smoother shifts and better fuel management during long-distance drives across emirates. Against luxury rivals like the Cadillac Escalade, the Land Cruiser offers unmatched durability and a vastly superior service footprint outside of major UAE cities.

Running Costs & Resale

The Land Cruiser remains the gold standard for value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than its European counterparts. Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 is approximately 12.1 L/100km on a combined cycle, though highway cruising can see figures improve significantly. Service intervals are conveniently spaced at 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the region, ensuring parts and expert technicians are available from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. This high serviceability and market trust ensure it remains one of the easiest vehicles to resell at a premium price point.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 409 hp and a massive 650 Nm of torque, the twin-turbocharged V6 ensures effortless acceleration even when fully loaded with seven passengers. Its 235 mm ground clearance and 700 mm wading depth are not just specs; they provide genuine confidence for weekend desert excursions or navigating seasonal rains. The 10-speed transmission is specifically tuned to handle the extreme heat of the region, ensuring consistent power delivery during high-speed highway cruising or slow-speed sand crawling.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the seven-seat configuration is optimized for family logistics, featuring a third row that now folds flat into the floor to maximize cargo space. The cabin is built to isolate occupants from the harsh GCC climate, utilizing high-output multi-zone climate control and ventilated front seats to maintain comfort even when temperatures exceed 45°C. Premium acoustic glass and refined materials ensure a quiet environment, turning long cross-border drives into a relaxed experience for all passengers.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies designed for fast-moving GCC traffic, including Lane Trace Assist and a Pre-Collision System. The 360-degree camera provides essential visibility for parking in tight urban spots, while Blind Spot Monitoring is invaluable for the multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel frame provide the robust passive safety foundation expected of a flagship Toyota SUV.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a low-mileage, high-spec LC300 that stands out from the crowd without sacrificing the region's best resale value, this Black Edition is an exceptional opportunity.
