Summary

This 2022 Land Cruiser GXR offers the ideal entry point into the legendary 300 Series, blending modern chassis technology with a reliable 4.0L V6 engine that avoids the complexity of newer turbo setups. Having covered 73,000 km, this vehicle has been driven exactly in line with expected GCC annual averages, ensuring it remains mechanically fresh for its next owner. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region for its superior heat reflection and market-leading resale strength. As a GCC-spec model, it features the heavy-duty cooling systems essential for peak performance during peak summer months. For buyers seeking the iconic Land Cruiser prestige without the flagship price tag, this specific listing represents a balanced and safe investment.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With 73,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits perfectly at the average usage mark for a 4-year-old SUV in the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is the standard benchmark. The white exterior provides a distinct advantage at resale, as it remains the most liquid color in the UAE and Saudi markets. While many 2022 models have been used heavily for desert excursions, the condition and consistent mileage of this GXR suggest a well-balanced history of highway and urban use.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a significant leap in comfort over the base EXR, most notably adding a 9-inch infotainment screen with wireless smartphone integration and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor. Interior refinement is elevated with wood-grain trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the exterior benefits from 20-inch alloy wheels and an integrated aerokit that the lower trims lack. It also includes functional upgrades like a wireless charging pad and a remote engine starter, which is a necessity for pre-cooling the cabin in the local climate.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol V6, the Land Cruiser 300 Series offers a more modern TNGA-F global platform that provides superior high-speed stability and reduced body roll. Its 110-litre fuel tank ensures class-leading range for long-distance travel between emirates or across GCC borders. While rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe offer more raw cabin volume, the Land Cruiser leads in technical off-road hardware, featuring a dedicated Crawl Control system and superior approach angles as standard.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 is celebrated in the GCC for its lower maintenance complexity compared to twin-turbo variants, leading to predictable service costs at any Toyota authorized center across the region. Fuel consumption averages approximately 10.6 L/100km on the highway, though city stop-start traffic will see this figure rise. The Land Cruiser maintains the strongest value retention in the UAE, typically retaining 75-80% of its value after three years, making it a significantly more stable asset than its European competitors.

Performance & Capability

The naturally aspirated V6 produces 271 hp, delivered through a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission designed for durability in high-torque situations. With a massive 312 mm of ground clearance and a full-time all-wheel-drive system featuring a locking center differential, this SUV is purpose-built for both dunes and daily commutes. Whether you are navigating soft sand on a weekend trip or overtaking on the E11, the linear power delivery provides a composed and predictable driving experience.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is designed for maximum family utility, featuring a triple-zone automatic climate control system that is specifically tuned to handle 45°C+ summer temperatures. Cabin insulation has been significantly improved over the previous generation, noticeably reducing road noise during high-speed highway cruising. The inclusion of a cooled center console box ensures refreshments stay cold during long desert drives, while the folding third-row seats allow for flexible cargo configurations.

Safety

This GXR trim is equipped with a robust safety suite including front and knee airbags, side and curtain airbags, and Vehicle Stability Control. For highway safety, it features a Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert with steering vibration, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to reduce driver fatigue on long trips. The reinforced TNGA body structure and Brake Assist work together to provide high-level occupant protection, a key consideration for families in fast-moving GCC traffic.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec GXR is the perfect choice for a buyer who values the 300 Series' modern tech but prefers the proven, long-term reliability of a naturally aspirated V6 engine.
