Summary

This 2023 HSE P530 represents the latest L460 generation, featuring the high-output twin-turbo V8 that is highly coveted in the UAE for its effortless highway performance. While the mileage is higher than the typical GCC average for a three-year-old vehicle, this is often indicative of long-distance cruising between emirates rather than stressful city idling. The classic white exterior remains the most strategic choice for the region, offering the best heat rejection and consistently high resale demand. As an HSE trim, it balances flagship luxury with the mechanical robustness required for the GCC climate. This is a compelling opportunity to secure the current-shape Range Rover silhouette with the superior V8 powertrain.

This Car vs Other 2023 Range Rovers

At 126,681 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly more than the 60,000–75,000 km typically expected for a 3-year-old car in the GCC. However, in the UAE market, high mileage on a late-model Range Rover often reflects predictable highway use rather than stop-start city wear. The white exterior is a major advantage here, as it is the fastest-selling color in the local used market due to its cooling properties.

HSE P530 vs Lower Trims

The HSE P530 is a significant step up from the SE trim, most notably replacing the 6-cylinder engine with the 523 hp 4.4L twin-turbo V8. Inside, the HSE upgrades the cabin with perforated Windsor leather and a more powerful Meridian sound system as standard. For GCC buyers, the inclusion of ventilated seats and the advanced 3D Surround Camera system in the HSE provides essential comfort and visibility for local driving conditions.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS in pure off-road geometry, offering a maximum wading depth of 900 mm and a sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system. While the Cadillac Escalade offers more sheer volume, the Range Rover's standard all-wheel steering gives it a tighter turning circle that is far superior for navigating tight parking in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Its 90-litre fuel tank also ensures greater range for long-distance hauls across the Saudi or Omani borders.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P530 V8 typically averages around 12 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic can see this rise to 16 L/100km. The L460 generation currently holds approximately 50-55% of its value at the three-year mark in the UAE, outperforming several European peers. Land Rover has a robust authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals recommended every 20,000 km or 12 months.

Performance & Capability

The 750 Nm of torque produced by the twin-turbo V8 allows this full-sized SUV to hit 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, ensuring confident overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The electronic air suspension can raise the vehicle to provide 295 mm of ground clearance, making it highly capable for weekend desert excursions. Standard all-wheel steering dramatically improves agility, making the vehicle feel much smaller than its dimensions during low-speed maneuvers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC summers, featuring a high-capacity climate control system and ventilated seats that are essential for the local heat. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro curved glass touchscreen provides seamless wireless smartphone integration, while acoustic laminated glass isolates the interior from desert wind noise. The five-seat layout offers generous legroom and a massive boot, catering perfectly to luxury family travel.

Safety

This Range Rover comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist which is invaluable for long highway drives between Emirates. The 360-degree 3D Surround Camera and ClearSight interior rearview mirror provide exceptional visibility despite the vehicle's size. Standard safety tech also includes Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Assist to handle fast-paced GCC traffic.

The bottom line

For the buyer who prioritizes the prestige and power of the latest V8 Range Rover at a more accessible price point, this high-mileage HSE is the most logical entry into the current L460 generation.
