Summary

This 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography P530 represents the first year of the redesigned fifth-generation (L460) flagship, making it a highly modern choice in the GCC used market. While its white exterior is the strongest resale color in the region, the V8 powertrain provides the effortless highway overtaking necessary for long drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Compared to average annual GCC use of 20,000 km, this vehicle's 92,200 km shows standard, highway-heavy mileage that highlights its mechanical suitability for local conditions. As an Autobiography trim, it stands out with a significantly quieter cabin than base models, essential for maintaining luxury during peak summer heat. For the discerning buyer, this listing offers the new-generation silhouette and technology without the steep initial depreciation of a showroom-fresh unit.

This Car vs Other 2022 Range Rovers

At 92,200 km, this Range Rover has been driven approximately 23,000 km annually, which aligns perfectly with the typical GCC average for luxury SUVs used for regional commuting. Its white exterior ensures it remains one of the most liquid assets in the local used market, consistently commanding higher resale prices than darker tones. The P530 V8 engine is highly preferred in the UAE over the inline-six variants for its superior heat management and effortless performance.

Autobiography vs Lower Trims

The Autobiography trim adds several features that GCC buyers prioritize, most notably the 29-speaker Meridian Signature sound system with active noise cancellation built into the headrests for a whisper-quiet cabin. It upgrades the interior to semi-aniline leather and adds 24-way hot-stone massage front seats, which are a tier above the Windsor leather found in the SE trim. Furthermore, it includes a front center console refrigerator and four-zone climate control as standard, ensuring all five passengers remain comfortable in extreme desert temperatures.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover P530 leads rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS in off-road hardware, featuring a 900 mm wading depth and Land Rover's sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system. While competitors offer luxury, the Range Rover's all-wheel steering provides a tighter turning circle that makes navigating tight mall parking in Riyadh or Dubai much easier. Its BMW-sourced 4.4-liter V8 offers a more refined power delivery than the smaller engines found in Japanese luxury counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P530 V8 averages around 11.8 L/100km, though this reflects a blend of efficient highway cruising and heavy fuel use in stop-start city traffic. GCC-spec Land Rovers benefit from a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals every 13,000 km or 12 months. While European luxury SUVs typically see 12–15% annual depreciation in the GCC, the Autobiography P530 maintains a stronger residual value due to its flagship status and the enduring popularity of the new L460 generation.

Performance & Capability

The P530 powertrain produces 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. Its electronic air suspension with Dynamic Response Pro provides exceptional stability during fast highway drives across the Emirates while allowing for 295 mm of ground clearance when tackling off-road trails. With a 7,716 lb (3,500 kg) braked towing capacity, it is as capable of hauling luxury boats as it is at providing a refined executive commute.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC climate, featuring ventilated and heated seats in both rows to handle the seasonal temperature shifts. The 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen is intuitive and responsive, paired with a 13.7-inch digital driver display that remains legible even in direct desert sunlight. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated climate zones and electrically reclining seats, ensuring a first-class experience whether you are driving or being chauffeured.

Safety

Standard safety features on this Autobiography trim include a 360° 3D Surround Camera, ClearSight Ground View for technical driving, and a full suite of ADAS technologies. For GCC highway driving, the adaptive cruise control with steering assist and blind-spot monitoring are invaluable, while the Wade Sensing technology provides peace of mind during the region's occasional heavy rain and flash floods. The vehicle's advanced stability control is specifically tuned to maintain traction on both sand and asphalt.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Range Rover Autobiography is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the ultimate in British luxury and V8 performance with a proven service history in the local climate.
