Summary

This 2023 Range Rover Evoque R-Dynamic SE P250 presents a highly attractive option for the urban luxury buyer, featuring the most desirable black-on-black color combination which ensures maximum resale liquidity in the GCC market. With 38,000 km on the odometer, this three-year-old SUV has been driven slightly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the region, suggesting careful use on UAE highways. The P250 powertrain offers the ideal balance of punchy performance for fast-moving traffic and efficient cruising for inter-emirate travel. As an R-Dynamic SE trim, it bridges the gap between everyday practicality and high-end executive styling, making it a standout choice in its segment. For a GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the refined cabin insulation and cooling capacity, both of which are engineered to handle the region's intense summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2023 Range Rover Evoques

With 38,000 km recorded over three years, this Evoque has been driven approximately 12,600 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000 km. This lower-than-average usage is a distinct buying advantage, ensuring the mechanical components and interior finishes remain in excellent condition. The black exterior is the top-performing resale color in the UAE, providing the owner with a faster exit and better value retention when it comes time to trade.

R-DYNAMIC SE P250 vs Lower Trims

The R-Dynamic SE trim provides a significant jump in technology and aesthetics over the base S and SE models, most notably adding the 3D Surround Camera system which is essential for navigating tight Dubai parking. It also includes the sportier R-Dynamic exterior body kit with burnished copper accents and upgraded LED headlights with signature DRLs. Inside, the SE adds memory seating functions and the premium Meridian sound system, features that are highly valued by used car buyers in the local market.

Range Rover Evoque vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the Evoque leads with its genuine off-road heritage and superior wading depth of 530 mm, offering peace of mind during the UAE's occasional heavy rain floods. Its 67-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in the compact segment, providing a longer cruising range for road trips between Dubai and Muscat. The inclusion of Terrain Response 2 as standard gives it a versatility on sand and gravel that its German road-biased competitors cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P250 averages approximately 9.5 L/100km on a combined cycle, though city driving in stop-start traffic may see this rise. Authorized Land Rover service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals at 13,000 km or 12 months. While European luxury SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the Evoque maintains a strong following in the GCC, typically retaining about 70-75% of its value at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine produces a healthy 250 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h. This power is delivered through a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission, ensuring the car never feels strained during high-speed highway overtaking. The Four Wheel Drive system, paired with multiple terrain modes, allows for confident weekend excursions to the desert fringe or gravel wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of modern luxury, featuring a dual-touchscreen Pivi Pro setup that keeps the dashboard looking clean and sophisticated. The 5-seat layout provides ample space for a small family, with rear cooling vents ensuring all passengers remain comfortable during the peak of summer. High-quality grained leather and acoustic glass work together to keep the cabin quiet and insulated from external heat and road noise common on multi-lane highways.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a suite of standard features including Blind Spot Assist, which is crucial for the fast-paced driving environment of the GCC. The 3D Surround Camera and Rear Traffic Monitor make low-speed maneuvers effortless, while Lane Keep Assist and Emergency Braking provide an extra layer of protection on long highway drives. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive 6-airbag system and robust stability control tuned for various surfaces.

The bottom line

This Evoque is the perfect match for a style-conscious professional or small family seeking a low-mileage, high-spec SUV that is ready for both the city and the weekend. Its strong resale color and well-maintained mileage make it a safe and smart investment in the current UAE used car market.
