Summary

This 2023 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City represents the highest available trim for the legendary V8 model, offering a perfect blend of prestige and proven reliability. With its black exterior—a high-demand resale color in the UAE—and a powerful naturally aspirated engine, it holds a distinct advantage over newer turbocharged alternatives for long-term durability. The Patrol remains a segment leader for GCC residents due to its superior air conditioning performance and massive fuel range, essential for cross-country drives. While the mileage is average for a three-year-old vehicle in this region, the Platinum City trim's exclusive luxury features make it a standout choice for families and executives alike. This specific listing offers a rare opportunity to own the peak of the Y62 generation with the full suite of Nissan’s intelligent safety technologies.

This Car vs Other 2023 Patrols

At roughly 99,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is consistent with the typical 30,000 km annual average for large SUVs in the GCC, where highway-heavy commuting between emirates is standard. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the local market, maintaining value better than niche colors. As a late-model Y62, it benefits from the final production refinements before the generational shift, making it a highly stable investment.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the flagship of the range, adding 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and a 'city-style' bumper over the Titanium trim. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system, a 10.1-inch rear-seat entertainment system, and ventilated front seats—features that are critical for comfort during the peak GCC summer. It also includes the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, including a 360° Around View Monitor and hydraulic body motion control.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser and Chevrolet Tahoe with its massive 140-litre fuel tank, providing unmatched range for long desert stretches. While competitors offer ruggedness, the Patrol is often preferred in the GCC for its plush ride quality and superior interior material finishes at this price point. Its naturally aspirated V8 is also widely regarded by local mechanics as easier to maintain than the twin-turbocharged units found in newer competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.6L V8 delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 14.5 L/100km, though urban GCC traffic and heavy AC use can see figures reach 20 L/100km. Nissan's authorized service network is one of the most extensive in the region, with specialized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always readily available. The Patrol traditionally enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the Middle East, typically retaining high value even after the 100,000 km mark.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 5.6L V8 producing 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, this SUV can reach 0-100 km/h in approximately 6.6 seconds. The Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) system acts as a stabilizer, reducing body roll on highways while allowing maximum wheel travel for off-road excursions. With 273 mm of ground clearance and a selectable All-Mode 4WD system, it is equally capable of navigating Dubai’s urban centers or the soft sands of the Empty Quarter.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features quilted leather seating with a cooling box in the center console to keep drinks chilled during long summer drives. Tri-zone climate control ensures that all passengers, including those in the rear, remain comfortable in temperatures exceeding 45°C. The cabin is further refined with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay, and acoustic glass that significantly reduces wind noise during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

This trim includes the full Intelligent Safety Shield, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Braking, which are invaluable for fast-moving UAE highway traffic. Standard safety tech also comprises Blind Spot Intervention, Lane Departure Prevention, and a 360-degree camera system with Moving Object Detection. These active systems provide a layer of protection that many segment rivals only offer as optional equipment.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking the ultimate GCC-spec icon with every luxury box checked, this black LE Platinum City is the definitive choice. It offers the legendary V8 power and regional prestige that newer models are moving away from, making it a high-value opportunity in today's market.
