Summary

This 2023 Teramont Trendline is a highly practical choice for GCC families, offering the robust 3.6L V6 engine that is preferred in this region over the smaller turbocharged units. With its Silver exterior, it is perfectly suited for the intense local heat and holds its value better than darker shades in the used market. The mileage is slightly above average for its age, but as a GCC-spec vehicle, it has been built to handle long highway stretches between emirates with ease. It stands out in the mid-size SUV segment by offering a genuinely adult-sized third row, making it one of the few vehicles in its class that can comfortably seat seven adults. For a buyer looking for German engineering paired with massive interior volume and regional reliability, this listing represents a sensible and reliable entry point.

This Car vs Other 2023 Teramonts

With 73,638 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km per year average in the UAE, yet it remains well within its mechanical prime. The Silver finish is widely regarded as one of the best resale colors in the GCC, as it masks dust and reflects heat far better than black or blue alternatives. As a V6 model, it carries a higher demand in the pre-owned market compared to the 2.0L Trendline variant due to its superior towing and highway overtaking capabilities.

TRENDLINE vs Lower Trims

The Trendline 3.6L V6 sits above the entry-level 2.0L model, providing the essential power upgrade that most GCC buyers prioritize for desert highway driving. While it is the gateway to the Teramont range, it still includes vital local comforts like ventilated front seats and a multi-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows. It avoids the higher maintenance complexity of the panoramic roofs found on the Highline, focusing instead on pure utility and durability.

Teramont vs Segment Rivals

The Teramont competes directly with the Ford Explorer and Nissan Pathfinder, leading both in terms of total interior volume and third-row legroom. Unlike many rivals where the back seats are reserved for children, the Teramont's 2,980 mm wheelbase ensures seven adults can travel comfortably. Its massive 70-litre fuel tank also provides a significant range advantage for long-distance cross-border trips compared to smaller crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.6L V6 averages around 10.5 L/100km, which is efficient for a vehicle of this size during highway cruising but will increase in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Volkswagen has an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available. The Teramont typically sees a depreciation rate of 12–15% annually in the GCC, performing well against American rivals due to its strong reputation for build quality.

Performance & Capability

The 280 hp V6 engine provides a top speed of 190 km/h and handles the vehicle's large frame with surprising agility, reaching 100 km/h in approximately 8.3 seconds. The All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for road stability and light off-road use, such as gravel tracks and flat sand, making it ideal for weekend beach trips or reaching desert campsites. Its 8-speed automatic transmission is geared for smooth highway cruising, maintaining low RPMs at high speeds to maximize comfort.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC summer, featuring powerful air conditioning and ventilated front seats that are essential for the local climate. The 7-seat layout is highly flexible, with a second row that slides and tilts to allow easy access to the back even with child seats installed. Cargo space is a major highlight, expanding from 583 litres to a cavernous 2,741 litres with the rear rows folded flat, outclassing almost every competitor in its price bracket.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this Trendline includes six airbags, a rearview camera, and front and rear parking sensors to aid in maneuvering its large footprint. It features Front Assist with city emergency braking and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The Teramont is built with high-strength steel and has received high safety ratings globally, providing peace of mind for family transport.

The bottom line

This Teramont is the ideal match for a growing family needing maximum space and V6 reliability without the premium price tag of a Highline trim. It is a proven GCC workhorse that combines German safety with enough room to handle any school run or cross-country road trip.
