Summary

This 2024 Range Rover HSE P530 offers a rare combination of BMW-sourced V8 power and the latest mild-hybrid efficiency, making it an ideal long-distance cruiser for GCC highways. With 47,000 km, the mileage is slightly above the regional average for its age, yet it remains mechanically suited for the intense summer heat thanks to its advanced cooling systems. The P530 powertrain is highly regarded in the UAE and Saudi markets for its effortless overtaking ability and refined road presence. Finished in a sophisticated Gold, this SUV provides the prestige expected of the flagship model with a spec that focuses on high-speed stability and off-road dominance. For a buyer looking to balance executive luxury with genuine desert-weekend capability, this V8 HSE is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

While 47,000 km is higher than the typical 20,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE, this P530 is priced to reflect its road-proven status while benefiting from the newest fifth-generation technology. The Batumi Gold exterior is a distinctive, premium shade that holds its appeal well in the GCC market compared to standard white or black. As a 2024 model, it features the updated Pivi Pro interface and refined V8 tuning that earlier fifth-generation units lacked.

HSE P530 vs Lower Trims

The HSE P530 is a significant leap over the standard P400 SE, replacing the inline-six with a potent 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. Beyond the engine, this trim includes 20-way heated and ventilated Windsor leather seats and the Meridian 3D Surround Sound system as standard, features that are essential for comfort during long drives between Emirates. It also adds All-Wheel Steering as standard, which significantly reduces the turning circle for easier maneuvering in tight city parking.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Range Rover leads with a superior 900 mm wading depth and more sophisticated off-road hardware including Terrain Response 2. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a longer cruising range for cross-border trips compared to the slightly smaller tanks found in German competitors. The Range Rover’s iconic silhouette and split tailgate offer a level of utility and status that remains unmatched in the luxury SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The P530 powertrain utilizes a mild-hybrid system to help mitigate fuel consumption in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic, though its strength lies in highway efficiency where the V8 can cruise at low RPMs. As an American spec vehicle, buyers should note that local Land Rover service contracts may not be transferable, though parts availability is excellent across the UAE due to the model's popularity. The V8 Range Rover remains one of the most liquid luxury assets in the GCC used market, typically retaining strong value due to the high demand for the flagship engine configuration.

Performance & Capability

The P530 delivers a massive 750 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds, ensuring effortless performance on the E11 highway. Its Electronic Air Suspension provides up to 295 mm of ground clearance, allowing it to transition from smooth asphalt to soft sand with the press of a button. The intelligent All-Wheel Drive system and active rear locking differential ensure that despite its luxury focus, it remains a genuine off-road tool capable of handling desert terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout offers expansive legroom and a quiet sanctuary thanks to Active Noise Cancellation delivered through the headrest speakers. The four-zone climate control is specifically designed to handle 45°C+ summer temperatures, ensuring all passengers remain cool even in direct sunlight. The 13.1-inch curved glass touchscreen provides seamless wireless connectivity, while the acoustic laminated glass isolates the cabin from wind and road noise at high speeds.

Safety

This HSE trim is equipped with a comprehensive suite of ADAS features, including a 360° 3D Surround Camera that is invaluable for navigating narrow urban streets. Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist makes long-distance desert drives less fatiguing, while Blind Spot Assist provides an extra layer of safety for fast-moving highway traffic. It also features high-performance LED headlights with signature DRLs to ensure maximum visibility during night drives across unlit rural roads.

The bottom line

This 2024 V8 Range Rover is the perfect acquisition for a buyer who prioritizes the prestige and power of the P530 engine with a modern, high-tech interior. It represents a significant opportunity to own the current-generation flagship at a competitive entry point for the UAE market.
