Summary

This 2024 Land Rover Range Rover HSE P400 represents a strategic acquisition for a GCC buyer looking to bypass the initial steep depreciation of a new vehicle while securing a current-generation flagship. As an HSE trim, it offers the essential luxury features that define the brand without the excessive complexity of higher variants. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring maximum sunlight reflection and maintaining a significantly higher resale value compared to darker shades. Powered by the refined 3.0-liter inline-six, it balances the performance needed for fast UAE highways with better fuel efficiency than the V8 alternatives. This GCC-spec example provides peace of mind regarding cooling systems and warranty compatibility across the region. It stands out as a versatile daily driver that transitions perfectly from executive commuting to weekend desert escapes.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

When looking at the 2024 Range Rover market in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, mileage typically averages around 20,000 to 25,000 km per year due to the vast distances between emirates and major cities. This vehicle has been driven more frequently than the average garage queen, suggesting it has been utilized primarily for long-distance highway cruising rather than sitting in stop-start city traffic, which is often better for the mechanical longevity of the air suspension and turbochargers. The white paintwork is a massive advantage here, as it is the most popular choice in the GCC used market, making it much easier to sell later compared to bespoke or matte finishes. While other 2024 models might have lower odometer readings, they often come with a significantly higher price tag that hasn't accounted for the next stage of the depreciation curve. This specific listing is positioned for a buyer who intends to actually use the vehicle for its intended purpose: effortless regional travel.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the base SE, adding features that are essentially mandatory for the GCC climate and lifestyle. While lower trims might miss out on the more advanced seating options, the HSE typically includes ventilated front seats and upgraded Windsor leather, which are vital during the five months of extreme summer heat in the region. You also benefit from the 3D Surround Camera system as standard, which is indispensable for navigating the tight parking structures in Dubai Mall or Riyadh’s financial district. The audio experience is also elevated via the Meridian 3D Surround Sound system, providing a level of acoustic clarity that base models lack. Additionally, the HSE includes soft-close doors and an upgraded lighting package, providing that extra layer of prestige that GCC buyers expect from a flagship SUV. Choosing the HSE over the SE ensures you have the tech suite that will be most requested by the second owner, protecting your future investment.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

In the GCC, the Range Rover primarily competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7. While the German rivals offer excellent highway manners, the Range Rover leads comfortably in terms of off-road heritage and sheer presence. Its ground clearance and sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system allow it to handle soft sand and wadi crossings that would leave its competitors stranded. The fuel tank capacity is generous, designed for the long stretches of highway between Abu Dhabi and Muscat where fuel stops can be infrequent. The interior design philosophy is much more minimalist and 'reductive' than the tech-heavy cabins of the GLS, providing a serene environment that remains comfortable even after four hours behind the wheel. Furthermore, the Range Rover holds a unique status in the GCC as the definitive vehicle for both royalty and business leaders, a level of social prestige that the BMW and Mercedes-Benz segments struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a 3.0-liter P400 engine in the GCC is surprisingly efficient compared to the larger 4.4-liter V8. You can expect a combined fuel consumption of roughly 10.2L per 100km, though this will rise in the heavy traffic of Sheikh Zayed Road. The vehicle requires high-octane Super 98 fuel to maintain peak performance and engine health in high temperatures. Service intervals are typically every 13,000 km or 12 months, and the Land Rover authorized service network is robust across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are always available. In terms of resale, the Range Rover remains one of the most liquid luxury assets in the region; however, it does face an annual depreciation of approximately 15% in its early years. Because this is a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a premium of 10-15% over imported American or European models, which often face challenges with warranty claims and local navigation compatibility.

Performance & Capability

The P400 powertrain utilizes a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a mild-hybrid system, delivering approximately 400 horsepower. This allows the large SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, making highway merging effortless even when fully loaded. Its off-road capability is legendary, featuring a genuine twin-speed transfer box with high and low range gears, which is a rarity in the luxury SUV segment. The electronic air suspension can raise the vehicle to provide a massive 295mm of ground clearance, allowing it to clear obstacles during desert excursions. All-wheel steering is a standard highlight on this generation, significantly reducing the turning circle and making this large vehicle feel as agile as a much smaller crossover in tight city streets. Whether you are cruising at 140 km/h on the E11 or exploring the dunes of Liwa, the performance is composed and authoritative.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a five-seat sanctuary designed to isolate passengers from the harsh outside environment of the Middle East. The four-zone climate control is exceptionally powerful, capable of dropping the cabin temperature rapidly even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. The Pivi Pro infotainment system is displayed on a crisp 13.1-inch curved glass touchscreen, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. Noise insulation is class-leading, utilizing active noise cancellation technology in the headrest speakers to create a library-quiet atmosphere at highway speeds. The seats are highly adjustable and provide excellent lumbar support, which is essential for the long-distance drives common between GCC capitals. Rear passengers are treated to ample legroom and their own climate interface, ensuring every occupant travels in first-class comfort regardless of the journey's duration.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the 2024 HSE trim, which comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist is particularly valuable for the long, straight highways of the Saudi desert, reducing driver fatigue significantly. The Emergency Braking system and Blind Spot Assist are calibrated to handle the fast-paced, multi-lane traffic environments found in Dubai and Doha. The vehicle also features Lane Keep Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor, providing 360-degree awareness at all times. In the event of an off-road mishap, the robust aluminum intensive architecture provides a 5-star level of structural integrity. These systems work together unobtrusively to ensure that the Range Rover remains one of the safest vehicles on GCC roads for both the driver and their family.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2024 HSE P400 is the ideal choice for the executive who needs a prestigious, current-model flagship that is mechanically ready for the region's demanding climate. It offers the perfect balance of modern tech and legendary capability, making it a highly liquid asset in the local used market.
