Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is a high-spec example of the UAE’s favorite family SUV, offering a premium experience with the practical advantages of the V6 powertrain. With 62,000 km over 2 years, the mileage is slightly higher than the average annual expectation for the region, reflecting its strength as a long-distance cruiser between emirates. The black exterior is a dominant and highly desirable resale color in the GCC market, ensuring strong liquidity when it is time to upgrade. As the Platinum City trim, it bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-end luxury, making it a versatile choice for city school runs and desert weekend trips. For the GCC buyer, the massive fuel tank and extensive authorized service network across the region make this one of the most low-stress ownership propositions available.

This Car vs Other 2024 Nissan Patrols

At 2 years old with 62,000 km, this vehicle has been used more frequently than the typical 20,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting it has spent much of its life on stable highway commutes rather than harsh stop-start city traffic. The black finish remains one of the fastest-selling colors in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct resale advantage over niche paint options. This specific listing represents a modern, late-model year Y62 before the generational shift, benefiting from the most refined interior electronics of its production run.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The Platinum City trim adds significant luxury features that GCC buyers prioritize, most notably the ventilated front seats which are essential for the local summer heat. It upgrades the cabin with genuine quilted leather and a 12-way power driver seat with massage functions, features missing from the SE Titanium and XE trims. Additionally, you receive the 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and the 360-degree Around View Monitor as standard, providing a more executive presence and easier parking for such a large vehicle.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Chevrolet Tahoe in fuel capacity, with its 140-litre tank offering superior range for long-distance desert crossings. While the Land Cruiser focuses on utility, the Patrol is widely recognized for a plusher, more comfortable on-road ride thanks to its independent suspension setup. It also provides a more generous eight-seat configuration as standard, offering more flexible interior space for large Gulf families compared to some seven-seat competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The V6 powertrain offers a slight efficiency advantage over the larger V8, typically averaging around 11.8L/100km on combined cycles, though stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh can increase this. Nissan's authorized service network is one of the most dense in the region, with parts readily available in every major city across the UAE and KSA. Historically, the Patrol retains approximately 55-60% of its value after three years in the GCC, performing exceptionally well compared to European luxury SUVs. The GCC specification ensures the vehicle is equipped with high-capacity cooling systems designed for 45°C+ summer peaks.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 4.0L V6 producing 275 HP and 394 Nm of torque, this Patrol provides smooth, unhurried power suitable for highway overtaking and city cruising. It features a selectable 4WD system with Sand, Snow, and Rock modes, allowing it to transition effortlessly from paved roads to weekend dune bashing. The body-on-frame construction ensures long-term durability against the vibrations of desert tracks, while the 7-speed automatic is geared for high-speed highway stability at low RPMs.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat interior is finished in genuine quilted leather, creating a luxury environment that remains cool thanks to powerful GCC-spec air conditioning with dedicated rear vents. Front passengers benefit from both heating and ventilation, while the cabin is isolated from exterior noise by thick acoustic glass. The spacious third row is genuinely usable for adults, and the inclusion of a cooled center console ensures drinks stay chilled during long drives through the desert.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive safety suite including the 360-degree Around View Monitor, which is vital for navigating tight parking spaces in a vehicle of this size. Standard equipment includes Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Intervention, and Predictive Forward Collision Warning, all of which are highly beneficial for the fast-paced highway traffic on the E11. Multiple airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors ensure high levels of protection for the whole family during long journeys.

The bottom line

This 2024 Patrol SE Platinum City is the ideal choice for a family buyer who wants the premium features of a flagship SUV with the simpler maintenance of the V6 engine. It is a turn-key opportunity to own a high-spec, GCC-ready icon in its most desirable color combination.
