Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol Super Safari is the definitive choice for those seeking a modern vehicle with a legendary mechanical lineage. With just 36,375 km, this example is well below the typical GCC annual mileage average, offering significant remaining longevity for its next owner. The Super Safari trim represents the highest factory specification for the iconic Y61 generation, retaining the rugged charm that rivals have long since replaced with complex electronics. Its unique exterior styling and premium interior finishes ensure strong resale demand in a market that prizes the 'Safari' badge above almost any other 4x4. For the GCC buyer, this is a rare chance to own a near-new piece of automotive history that is equally at home on the dunes as it is on the highway.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

While many 2024 Patrols in the market are the newer Y62 generation, this Super Safari belongs to the legendary Y61 lineage, favored for its unmatched desert performance. Its mileage of 36,375 km is exceptionally low for a year-old vehicle in the UAE, where highway commutes often push annual averages toward 50,000 km. The 'Other' exterior color, typically a two-tone heritage scheme, is a high-demand collector's choice that holds value better than standard fleet colors.

SUPER SAFARI vs Lower Trims

The Super Safari trim adds essential features that lower Safari trims lack, including a built-in electric winch and a rear-view camera integrated into the infotainment system. Inside, you benefit from premium leather upholstery and wood-grain trim, providing a layer of luxury to a cabin designed for durability. It also features the 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and the signature 'Super Safari' decals which are immediate value-boosters in the local used market.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Super Safari leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 70-series by offering a far more comfortable 7-seat cabin and a smoother 5-speed automatic transmission. Its 135-litre dual fuel tank system provides a massive range advantage for cross-country drives across the Emirates or into Oman. Unlike newer monocoque crossovers, the Patrol's heavy-duty live-axle suspension makes it the dominant force for serious off-roading.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.8L VTC engine is famous for its mechanical simplicity, leading to lower long-term maintenance costs than turbocharged European rivals. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 17.2L/100km, reflecting the power required for deep sand and highway cruising. Resale value for the Super Safari is among the highest in the GCC, typically retaining 80-85% of its value after the first year, supported by Nissan's massive authorized service network.

Performance & Capability

The 4.8-litre inline-six delivers 280 hp and 451 Nm of torque, specifically tuned for the high-torque demands of desert dune bashing. It features a selectable 4WD system with a manual transfer case, allowing the driver to engage low-range for maximum traction in soft sand. With a ground clearance of approximately 210mm and a standard rear differential lock, it is factory-ready for the most challenging terrain in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to survive the GCC summer, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents for all three rows. Standard features include a cool box in the center console for beverages and a power sunroof that brightens the spacious 7-seat interior. The inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures modern connectivity without compromising the vehicle's classic, functional aesthetic.

Safety

Safety is managed through a robust body-on-frame construction and a suite of essential systems including ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and dual front airbags. For the highway, it features cruise control and a tire pressure monitoring system, while the rear-view camera and parking sensors assist in city maneuvering. Its stability control system is calibrated to handle both high-speed tarmac and loose gravel surfaces common in the UAE.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, final-edition icon that offers the perfect balance of heritage reliability and 2024 technology. It is a blue-chip investment for any enthusiast looking for the ultimate GCC-spec desert conqueror.
