Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is a high-demand GCC-spec SUV that offers an ideal balance of modern technology and proven reliability. With only 29,000 km, it sits well below the typical 40,000–50,000 km expected for a two-year-old vehicle in the region. The black exterior is among the strongest for resale value in the Middle East, ensuring long-term equity. As the top-tier trim for the V6 range, it bridges the gap between daily urban luxury and the legendary off-road capability that defines the Patrol brand. For any buyer in the GCC, the extensive service network and parts availability make this one of the most practical long-term ownership propositions available.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

At 29,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average common for SUVs in the UAE. Its black-on-tan or black-on-burgundy configuration is a premium choice that typically commands faster resale compared to neutral white or silver units. As a late-model Y62, it benefits from the most refined interior and updated infotainment tech introduced in the final production years.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City trim adds significant luxury over the SE Titanium, most notably the genuine quilted leather upholstery with massage functions and a high-fidelity 12-speaker Klipsch audio system. Buyers also gain the 3D Around View Monitor, a Head-Up Display, and Biometric Cooling—features that are essential for navigating tight city parking and maintaining comfort during peak GCC summer heat.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series, the Patrol offers a standard 140-litre fuel tank, providing superior cruising range for long-distance drives across the Emirates. While the V6 Land Cruiser focuses on off-road hardware, the Patrol SE Platinum City leads in cabin tech and rear-seat amenities, offering a more refined experience for family logistics and executive commuting.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 delivers a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.8 to 14.5 L/100km, which is noticeably more efficient in stop-start city traffic than the V8 alternatives. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 12 months, with one of the most widespread authorized service networks across all GCC countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Historically, the Nissan Patrol retains approximately 65-70% of its value after two years, making it a benchmark for value retention in the regional used market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 producing 275 HP and 394 Nm of torque, this Patrol is optimized for smooth highway cruising and dependable city performance. The selectable 4WD system includes dedicated modes for Sand, Rock, and Snow, ensuring it remains fully capable for weekend desert excursions. With a 140-litre fuel tank, it is uniquely suited for cross-border travel between GCC nations without frequent refueling stops.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a full eight-seat configuration featuring premium quilted leather and an advanced 3-zone climate control system designed specifically for extreme desert temperatures. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and ample legroom, while the front seats offer both ventilation and heating. Noise insulation is class-leading for a body-on-frame SUV, providing a quiet sanctuary during high-speed highway commutes.

Safety

This trim includes the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving, multi-lane highways like the E11. The standard 360-degree camera system with 3D monitoring provides essential visibility for a vehicle of this size, making it easier to maneuver in urban parking environments.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a nearly new flagship SUV without the new-car depreciation, this low-mileage SE Platinum City offers the perfect mix of luxury features and legendary reliability.
