Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra Platinum is a standout option for GCC buyers, offering nearly new condition with mileage well below the regional average. The silver exterior is one of the most practical choices for the Arabian climate, providing excellent heat reflection and long-term resale stability. As the top-tier trim, it bridges the gap between a rugged workhorse and a refined family cruiser with high-end tech that rivals don't offer as standard. Its body-on-frame construction ensures it handles both city commutes and weekend desert escapes with ease. For a buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the combination of Nissan’s reliability and this high specification represents a secure and versatile investment.

This Car vs Other 2024 X-Terras

With just 16,545 km, this vehicle is significantly below the typical GCC annual usage of 25,000 km, making it a nearly-new alternative to a showroom model. The silver finish is a high-demand resale color in the local market, ensuring it retains value better than more niche shades. Unlike base or mid-range versions, this Platinum unit provides the full suite of intelligent mobility features sought after by regional buyers.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim adds essential luxury and safety features missing from the SE and Titanium, including premium leather upholstery and an intelligent 360-degree Around View Monitor. It upgrades to 18-inch alloy wheels and replaces the standard safety kit with six airbags and advanced ADAS systems. GCC families will also appreciate the addition of a power tailgate and premium interior materials that better withstand high-temperature wear.

X-Terra vs Segment Rivals

The X-Terra leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in ride refinement, utilizing a five-link coil spring rear suspension that is far less 'bumpy' on long highway stretches between Emirates. While the Fortuner is often choice for pure work, the X-Terra offers a more modern cabin and better fuel efficiency than the Montero Sport's V6 engine. Its 78-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is rated at approximately 11.4 L/100km, which is efficient for a 7-seat 4x4 in GCC stop-start traffic. Nissan’s massive service footprint across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensures parts are always available and maintenance costs remain low. Historically, this model retains approximately 70-75% of its value after three years, making it a low-depreciation asset compared to European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5L engine delivers 165 hp and 241 Nm of torque, which is perfectly tuned for steady highway cruising and light desert dunes. A 7-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery, a major plus during the long highway drives typical of the region. The four-wheel-drive system with a dedicated low-range mode provides genuine off-road capability for weekend camping trips in the sands.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat layout is designed with 'zero-gravity' inspired seating to reduce fatigue on long journeys between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The dual-zone climate control is engineered for 45°C+ temperatures, featuring dedicated rear vents for all three rows to ensure consistent cooling. Premium leather and acoustic glass help isolate the cabin from both the desert heat and highway road noise.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the Platinum trim, coming standard with six airbags and Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility suite. This includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable on fast-moving GCC multi-lane highways. The intelligent emergency braking and lane departure warning systems provide an extra layer of protection for family transport that many competitors only offer as expensive options.

The bottom line

Perfect for the GCC family seeking a low-mileage, high-spec SUV that balances weekday school runs with weekend adventures, backed by the region's most reliable service network.
