Summary

This 2025 Land Cruiser GXR offers the perfect entry into the LC300 generation, balancing legendary durability with the essential comforts required for GCC life. With a vehicle age of just 1 year, its white exterior remains the most sought-after color for resale in the local market, ensuring it holds its value better than almost any rival. The 4.0L V6 is widely regarded as the most reliable powertrain for long-term ownership, especially for those venturing away from major cities. Whether you are tackling technical desert dunes or the daily commute between Emirates, this GCC-spec SUV delivers unmatched peace of mind. It stands as a robust alternative to higher-strung turbo rivals, prioritizing mechanical longevity and cooling efficiency for the Gulf heat.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With 45,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the typical GCC annual average for a 1-year-old car, though it remains well within the expected range for a long-distance highway cruiser. The white paint is the strongest resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, significantly aiding value retention. As a GCC-spec model, it includes the uprated cooling and filtration systems necessary for regional longevity that non-local imports lack.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a significant leap in daily comfort over the base EXR, most notably adding a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a wireless smartphone charger. GCC buyers will appreciate the inclusion of a factory-fitted cool box and dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents. It also upgrades the exterior with 18-inch alloy wheels and LED fog lamps, giving it a more premium presence on the road.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol V6, the Land Cruiser leads in technical off-road agility due to its more compact wheelbase and specialized Crawl Control hardware. Its 110-litre fuel tank provides a superior range for cross-border drives compared to the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Toyota’s V6 architecture is specifically favored in the GCC for its ability to handle low-grade fuel and extreme temperatures with fewer cooling issues than European rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine typically averages between 9.5 to 11.5 L/100km depending on highway or city use, offering predictable costs for a large 4x4. Service intervals are standard at 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the region, ensuring parts are available in every GCC state. This model historically retains approximately 85-90% of its value after three years in the GCC market, making it one of the safest automotive investments available.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 engine is paired with an automatic transmission and a full-time 4WD system featuring a locking center differential. It offers a ground clearance of 235 mm, allowing it to navigate deep sand and rocky terrain where road-biased SUVs would struggle. For family road trips or light towing, the naturally aspirated engine provides smooth, linear power delivery that is easy to manage in soft sand conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 7-seat layout is configured for maximum utility, with a foldable third row that makes it ideal for large families. The cabin is designed for the Gulf summer, featuring a powerful A/C system that can rapidly cool the entire interior even in 45-degree heat. Premium fabric seats are often preferred locally for their breathability in high temperatures, while the integrated cool box keeps beverages chilled during long desert excursions.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), and Hill-start Assist Control. The GXR also includes front and rear parking sensors and a high-definition rear-view camera to manage its size in tight urban spaces. Multiple airbags and a high-strength body-on-frame construction provide the necessary protection for both highway and off-road environments.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a nearly-new LC300 that prioritizes mechanical simplicity and maximum resale value, this 1-year-old GXR is the definitive choice.
