Summary

This nearly new SUV represents a rare chance to own one of the most technologically advanced off-roaders currently making waves in the global market. With remarkably low mileage for a 2026 model year, it offers a distinct advantage over higher-mileage alternatives in the UAE, providing a pristine mechanical foundation that feels factory-fresh. The ultra-high horsepower output combined with a plug-in hybrid powertrain makes it a unique proposition in the GCC, bridging the gap between a high-performance sports car and a rugged desert-ready 4x4. Its sophisticated black finish is a major asset for resale value in the local market, where classic shades are consistently in high demand among used car buyers. This vehicle stands out by offering a level of acceleration and fuel efficiency that traditional V8-powered rivals simply cannot match. For a GCC buyer, this listing offers a strategic opportunity to secure a high-spec, modern hybrid that is perfectly suited for both daily city commuting and ambitious weekend adventures.

This Car vs Other 2026 Leopard 5s

With just 3500 km on the odometer, this particular vehicle is effectively in showroom condition, sitting well below the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While other 2026 models might have already seen significant highway use between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this unit has barely begun its operational life. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for this specific model in our region, ensuring it will attract more eyes and retain its value better than more experimental paint options. Choosing a car with such low mileage minimizes the immediate need for major service interventions, giving the new owner a clean slate. This is a rare opportunity to bypass the wait times associated with new imports while still receiving a vehicle that presents as brand new. The mechanical integrity of a car with this history is a significant trust signal for any serious buyer in the local market.

ULTRA vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the top-tier trim brings a suite of features that are essential for the high-end GCC lifestyle, most notably an upgraded suspension system that significantly improves ride quality over uneven terrain. While lower trims provide the basics, the higher specification includes advanced interior materials and a more comprehensive technology package that local buyers prioritize for resale. You gain ventilated and massaging seats, which are absolute necessities during the peak summer months in the Middle East. The audio experience is also elevated, featuring a premium branded sound system that provides crystal-clear acoustics even at high highway speeds. Furthermore, this trim includes the full off-road hardware package, ensuring you have the locking differentials and specialized drive modes needed for deep sand maneuvers. It is the definitive choice for those who want the maximum performance and luxury this platform can provide.

Leopard 5 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to traditional segment leaders like the Land Rover Defender or the Jeep Wrangler, this model offers a revolutionary powertrain that produces a massive 680 hp, far exceeding the output of its petrol-only competitors. It provides the low-end torque of an electric vehicle with the long-distance security of a combustion engine, making it ideal for cross-border trips where charging infrastructure may vary. The interior technology is significantly more advanced than what is found in most American or Japanese rivals, featuring massive high-resolution screens and a more intuitive user interface. In terms of cabin insulation, it outperforms many rugged 4x4s, offering a quiet, luxury-car experience on the highway while maintaining top-tier off-road credentials. The combination of a 1.5L turbocharged engine and powerful electric motors gives it a versatility that few vehicles in the current GCC market can replicate. It successfully competes by offering more power, better tech, and superior fuel economy in one package.

Running Costs & Resale

As a PHEV, this vehicle offers the lowest daily running costs in its class, allowing for electric-only commuting in city traffic while maintaining a highly efficient hybrid mode for the highway. Real-world fuel consumption is significantly better than traditional SUVs, which is a major advantage given the rising focus on fuel efficiency in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While this is a Chinese regional spec, the growing presence of authorized service networks for this brand across the GCC ensures that maintenance is accessible in major hubs. Parts availability is increasing rapidly as the brand expands its footprint in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE. Historically, high-performance hybrids of this caliber maintain strong value because they appeal to both tech enthusiasts and traditional off-roaders. You can expect a depreciation curve that is competitive with European luxury brands, with the added benefit of much lower monthly fuel expenses. This model is positioned to become a strong performer in the used market as more buyers look for sustainable yet capable alternatives to gas-guzzling V8s.

Performance & Capability

The most striking figure is the 680 hp output, which enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in under 4 seconds, putting it in the territory of genuine super-SUVs. This immense power is managed by a sophisticated All Wheel Drive system that provides exceptional grip on both tarmac and shifting sand. For the GCC buyer, this translates to effortless overtaking on the E11 highway and incredible climbing power in the dunes of Liwa or the Sharjah desert. It features genuine off-road hardware, including multiple locking differentials and a dedicated low-range mode for technical terrain. The ground clearance is among the best in its class, allowing it to navigate obstacles that would stop most modern crossovers. Whether you are towing a boat to the coast or exploring mountain trails in Oman, the performance is consistent and confidence-inspiring. The air suspension allows for adjustable height, making it as comfortable for mall parking as it is capable on a rugged trail.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is a sanctuary of high-tech luxury designed to withstand the rigors of the desert climate. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom for all passengers, making it a comfortable choice for family road trips across the emirates. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high-performance cooling, ensuring the cabin remains chilled even when outside temperatures exceed 45°C. Ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger are standard, providing essential relief during long summer drives. The interior is dominated by high-quality displays and a premium audio system that turns the car into a mobile concert hall. Sound deadening is excellent, effectively filtering out road and wind noise for a serene driving experience. Extensive use of premium materials on the dashboard and touchpoints gives the interior a truly upscale feel that rivals many established European luxury brands.

Safety

This vehicle is equipped with one of the most advanced ADAS suites available, featuring adaptive cruise control that is perfect for maintaining safe distances on long desert highways. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist provide an extra layer of security during the fast-paced lane changes typical of Dubai and Riyadh traffic. It features a comprehensive array of airbags and a reinforced chassis designed to meet stringent international safety standards. The 360-degree camera system is particularly useful in this region, aiding in both tight city parking and navigating tricky off-road obstacles where visibility is limited. Automatic emergency braking and rear cross-traffic alert come standard, offering peace of mind for family use. These systems work together to ensure that despite its high performance, the vehicle remains easy and safe to manage for drivers of all skill levels.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the power of a supercar and the ruggedness of a desert-conquering SUV, this low-mileage Leopard 5 is an unbeatable choice. It represents the future of GCC motoring, offering incredible performance and luxury without the high running costs of a traditional large-displacement engine.
