Summary

This Land Rover Defender 110 X-DYNAMIC HSE P400 balances high-output performance with the legendary off-road capability expected in the GCC. The mild-hybrid P400 powertrain provides the necessary punch for highway overtaking while remaining composed during desert weekends. As a 2026 model, it features the latest interior refinements and the updated 13.1-inch infotainment interface standard on higher trims. The black-on-black aesthetic remains the most sought-after combination for resale in the local market, making this a strong choice for those who want a capable daily driver that holds its value. For the GCC buyer, the combination of advanced air suspension and a robust 3.0L turbocharged engine ensures comfort across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2026 Defender 110s

With 110,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the average GCC yearly mileage, yet it benefits from being a newer model year with the most current technological updates. The black exterior is a premier choice for the UAE market, consistently fetching higher demand compared to lighter or non-standard colors. While the mileage is higher for its age, the 2026 model year ensures you are getting the latest mechanical refinements and interior materials.

X-DYNAMIC HSE vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the SE, adding essential GCC luxuries like 14-way power-adjustable heated and cooled front seats and the premium Meridian Surround Sound System. You also benefit from the X-Dynamic exterior package, which includes robust satin silicon finishes and unique interior accents that distinguish it from the standard S or SE models. Crucially for our climate, the HSE includes high-grade Windsor leather and enhanced cabin cooling capabilities.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 or the Mercedes G-Class, the Defender 110 offers a more modern monocoque architecture that provides superior on-road handling without sacrificing a 900 mm wading depth that leads the class. Its 90-litre fuel tank is ideal for long-distance hauls between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, providing more range than many road-biased luxury crossovers. The P400 engine offers a smoother power delivery than the smaller four-cylinder options found in competitors like the Jeep Wrangler.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L Ingenium engine averages between 11.8L and 13.5L/100km, which is competitive for a vehicle of this size in stop-start Dubai traffic. Service intervals are recommended every 13,000 km or 12 months, and JLR’s extensive authorized network through Al Tayer and Premier Motors ensures parts are readily available across the UAE. GCC spec Defenders retain their value exceptionally well, typically depreciating slower than European luxury sedans due to their high demand in the secondary 4x4 market.

Performance & Capability

The P400 delivers a verified 0-100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds, making it surprisingly agile for a large SUV. Equipped with electronic air suspension, it can reach a maximum ground clearance of 291 mm, allowing it to navigate deep sand and rocky terrain with ease. The twin-speed transfer box and selectable Terrain Response 2 system provide genuine low-range capability for serious off-roading in Al Faya or Liwa.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the new 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen, offering seamless connectivity and clear navigation across the GCC. Front passengers enjoy ventilated seats which are vital for the peak summer months, while the three-zone climate control ensures the rear passengers stay cool even in 45°C heat. The five-seat configuration offers a massive 972-litre boot space, making it perfect for family camping trips or heavy grocery hauls.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a full ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long desert highway drives. The 3D Surround Camera with ClearSight Ground View allows you to 'see through' the hood during technical off-road maneuvers, while Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keep Assist provide security during fast-paced city commuting. Six airbags and a high-strength aluminum body structure come standard on this trim.

The bottom line

This 2026 Defender 110 X-DYNAMIC HSE is the perfect match for a buyer who wants the latest Land Rover technology and high-end comfort in a proven, high-demand color way.
