Summary

This GCC-spec Defender 110 X-DYNAMIC HSE P400 is the ideal configuration for the region, pairing the higher-output 395 hp mild-hybrid engine with a premium cabin. As a 2021 model with 127,000 km, it has been driven approximately 30,000 km annually, which is consistent with active ownership and regular highway use common in the GCC. The Santorini Black finish is the most sought-after resale color in the UAE market, ensuring strong liquidity for future trades. Choosing the HSE trim ensures you receive the essential ventilated seats and adaptive cruise control required for comfortable long-distance travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This listing represents a balanced opportunity to own the modern-era Defender with the most desirable performance and comfort options already standard.

This Car vs Other 2021 Defender 110s

With 127,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has seen typical annual use for a primary family SUV in the UAE, where highway-heavy commutes are the norm. While many examples in this year range have similar mileage, the black-on-black color combination significantly strengthens its resale position compared to lighter, non-metallic shades. The GCC specification ensures the cooling system and air conditioning are factory-tuned for 50-degree summers, a critical advantage over imported American or European models.

X-DYNAMIC HSE vs Lower Trims

The X-Dynamic HSE is a significant step above the base and SE trims, most notably adding Windsor Leather 14-way heated and cooled memory front seats—a necessity for the local climate. It also includes an opening panoramic sunroof and Adaptive Cruise Control as standard, which are often expensive standalone options on lower configurations. The X-Dynamic exterior package adds distinctive Silicon Silver accents and Satin Dark Grey wheels, providing a more aggressive road presence than the standard S or SE trims.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 110 leads rivals like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and BMW X5 with its superior 900 mm wading depth and adjustable air suspension, making it more capable for weekend desert excursions. Its P400 mild-hybrid powertrain offers smoother stop-start transitions in city traffic compared to the more traditional engines found in the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. For family logistics, the Defender provides a more vertical, airy cabin feel than the road-biased Mercedes-Benz GLE, offering better visibility during long cross-border drives.

Running Costs & Resale

The P400 Ingenium engine averages approximately 11.5–12.5 L/100km in real-world GCC conditions, benefiting from the 48V mild-hybrid system during stop-start traffic. Land Rover recommends service intervals of 13,000 km or 12 months, and with a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, parts availability is excellent. The Defender currently enjoys some of the lowest depreciation rates in the luxury SUV segment, typically retaining significant value at the 3-year mark due to high local demand.

Performance & Capability

The 395 hp inline-six engine delivers a brisk 0–100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. Off-road, the Electronic Air Suspension can raise the vehicle to a maximum 291 mm of ground clearance, while the Terrain Response system provides dedicated modes for sand, rock, and mud. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is perfectly suited for hauling boats or trailers to the coast for weekend trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The HSE cabin is centered around premium Windsor leather and features a high-performance climate control system with rear-seat vents to ensure passenger comfort during peak summer months. The 10-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen provides seamless integration for navigation, while the standard Meridian sound system offers high-fidelity audio insulated by acoustic glass. The interior is designed to be hose-cleanable in key areas, making it as practical for desert trips as it is for executive commuting.

Safety

Standard safety features on the HSE include a 360° 3D Surround Camera system that is vital for both technical off-roading and tight city parking. The trim also includes a full ADAS suite with Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Emergency Braking, providing peace of mind during high-speed travel on multi-lane highways. Rear traffic monitoring and a clear exit monitor further protect passengers when exiting the vehicle in busy urban environments.

The bottom line

This Defender 110 is the perfect match for a UAE buyer who demands off-road icon status without sacrificing executive-level cabin features and highway performance.
