Summary

This 2024 Defender 110 X-DYNAMIC SE P300 strikes a perfect balance for the GCC buyer between modern luxury and legendary off-road capability. With 49,000 km, the mileage reflects consistent use typical of UAE highway commutes, while the brown exterior offers a distinctive look that hides desert dust well and maintains healthy resale interest. The X-DYNAMIC SE trim adds desirable satin dark grey accents and interior robustness over the standard S model, making it a more premium daily driver. Compared to heavier V8 alternatives, the P300 engine provides a lighter front end for better agility in soft sand while remaining efficient for cross-emirate travel. This is a versatile, high-spec SUV that handles extreme summer heat and rugged terrain with equal composure.

This Car vs Other 2024 Defender 110s

At 49,000 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the typical 25,000 km annual average for the GCC, suggesting it has spent significant time on well-maintained highways rather than in stop-start city traffic. The brown finish is a sophisticated alternative to the common white or silver, standing out in the UAE market while retaining its value. Being a 2024 model, it benefits from the latest Pivi Pro updates and refined cabin materials.

X-DYNAMIC SE P300 vs Lower Trims

The X-DYNAMIC SE elevates the ownership experience with signature Satin Silicon exterior accents and larger 20-inch wheels in Satin Dark Grey. Inside, you receive upgraded Resist and Robustec seat materials designed for longevity in high-wear conditions, alongside the premium Meridian sound system. It also standardizes the sliding panoramic roof and advanced 3D surround camera, features that lower trims often leave as optional extras.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 110 leads rivals like the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with its superior 900 mm wading depth and more sophisticated unibody architecture for highway comfort. Its air suspension provides a level of refinement that body-on-frame competitors struggle to match during long drives across the GCC. Furthermore, the integrated Pivi Pro infotainment system is significantly faster and more intuitive than those found in most off-road segment peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P300 engine averages around 12.6 L/100km, offering a more economical footprint for daily commuting compared to the P400 or V8 variants. Service intervals are typically set at 21,000 km or 12 months, supported by an extensive network of authorized centers throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The Defender 110 continues to show strong value retention in the local market, benefiting from high demand for the current L663 generation.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp turbocharged engine delivers a factory-declared 0-100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds, providing ample punch for highway overtaking. With a maximum 291 mm ground clearance and a two-speed transfer case, it is a formidable tool for weekend desert expeditions. The 3,500 kg towing capacity ensures you can easily transport boats or trailers for coastal road trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is purpose-built for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to keep all passengers cool in summer peak temperatures. Cabin insulation is excellent, effectively muting wind noise during high-speed travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The interior layout prioritizes durability without sacrificing the premium feel expected of a Land Rover, featuring easy-to-clean materials and a flat load floor.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a 3D Surround Camera, Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist standard on this trim. For high-speed GCC motorways, the Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor provide essential peace of mind. Adaptive Cruise Control helps reduce driver fatigue on long desert stretches, while the Terrain Response system ensures maximum stability across sand, gravel, and wet tarmac.

The bottom line

This 2024 Defender is an ideal choice for the professional who needs a civilized daily commuter that is genuinely ready for a Liwa desert crossing at a moment's notice.
