Two Special Edition 2016 Jeep Renegade models coming

In just one month, we’ll see one of this year’s most highly anticipated movies: Batman vs Superman hit movie screens. To give everyone a chance to own their very own “batmobile”, Jeep and Warner Brothers Pictures have teamed up to do just that, which brings us to our first special edition.

Don’t get too excited, as it’s not going to look like Ben Affleck’s “Bat Tank” he drives around in, but he does use one of these in his daily commutes. Owning a 2016 Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice edition will bring you a lot closer to the caped crusader.

Following the theme of darkness, this model comes with a choice of two paints: Granite Crystal or Carbon Black. New 18-inch gloss black rims are slapped on each corner and unique badges are stuck on to coincide with the film. Those going for Granite Crystal have to option of a gloss black roof.

Darkness continues inside, five seats covered in black fabric, blacked-out cabin and high-gloss black finishes all around. The gear lever features Metal Diamond accents as do door handles. Standard features include remote engine start, reverse camera, fully electric front seats, dual-zone climate control and active 4×4, plus everything else Latitude models come with.

All that black makes for quite a stealthy look, quite pleasing for any Batman fan out there looking to get a new vehicle.

Unfortunately, you won’t be tearing through streets and jumping off intersections in spectacular fashion as it’s based on Jeep Renegade Latitude 4×4 models, 2.4-litre Tigershark inline-four cylinder petrol engine. Rated at 184 horsepower, power is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

Using scenes from the actual movie, a commercial was stitched together featuring the Hollywood actor and subcompact SUV. US prices start at $26,250, which is approximately AED 96,400.

If Batman vs Superman isn’t your style, you could pick yourself up a Renegade Night Eagle edition instead. Featuring a 2.0-litre or 1.6-litre petrol engine with an output of either 120 or 140 horsepower, a variety of colours are on offer including Volcano Sand and Solar Yellow.

Not to mention, a host of unique finishes in and around the vehicle. 17-inch black alloys, satin dark grey accents on the front grille, light frames, roof rails and badges. Inside, a leather covered steering wheel, 5-inch display with UConnect, cruise control and 3.5-inch TFT instrument panel.

Only 2,500 units are to be sold in Europe and the Middle East. Better hurry up before they’re all gone.
