After being shown off last year, 2017 Honda CR-V models have landed in the UAE and is readily available for those who have been patiently waiting for the updated four-wheeler to launch.
However, there is a catch with 2017 Honda CR-V models for sale in the UAE. Instead of the punchy 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit with 190 horsepower on tap, UAE customers have to stick with the 2.4-litre motor.
Transitioning from the previous years, the naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine generates six less hp. The same engine is available in base models across other markets with the 1.5-litre unit being optionally available.
CVT transmissions are standard across the board with both front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains being offered.
UAE residents can choose between nine exterior colours including fan favourite; white and silver. For those wanting a unique exterior can choose from red, dark blue and olive green. Inside, black and ivory fabric is available for the seats with optional leather trim.
As we’ve previously posted, the 2017 Honda CR-V is refreshed inside and out for the latest model. LED lights are standard on all trims for the headlights, 17 and 18-inch alloys are available for each corner as is a new instrument panel. Those who weren’t too impressed by the rear legroom will be happy to note that Honda claims the 2017 CR-V has “the best rear legroom in class.”
Those planning to buy EX or Touring versions of the 2017 Honda CR-V benefit from a 7-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
There are optional extras including remote starting, dual-zone climate control, parking sensors, hill start assist and 8-way power seats.
