2017 Mazda 3 receives minor changes

Recently, Mazda upgraded the technology inside and out of the Mazda 6 sedan. Now they have turned their attention to the Mazda 3, and it’s not just new technology, there is a new look to boot.

The Japanese firm has added subtle changes to the lineup; bolder front grille new exterior lighting at the front and back and on hatchback versions a revamped rear bumper all for the outside. Inside, a new re-modeled steering wheel steers the front axle, increased storage and two sets of leather seat coverings to choose from (Black or Almond).

Safety features are part of the upgrade with electronic parking brake, traffic sign recognition, advanced blind spot detection and active driving display are optionally available at a price.

As Mazda engineers did with the Mazda 6 model, 3 series vehicles are quieter thanks to adjustments to the dampers to reduce noise, vibration and ride harshness. Also included is Mazda’s revolutionary G-Vectoring Control system which controls the steering, throttle and suspension and return improves chassis control.

Drivetrains haven’t been confirmed; we don’t expect massive changes from last years models hooked up to a manual or automatic gearbox.

With all of the new features and returning options in 2017, the Chevy Cruze, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus need to up their game.

Mazda hasn’t revealed any price point for the revised 3 sedans even though they are heading for showrooms this September in the United States. Both the sedan and hatchback models will handle the updates and will arrive on UAE shores shortly afterwards.
