2017 Meredes-Benz CLS goes out with a bang

Back in 2010, Mercedes introduced to us and the world, the sports coupe. With four doors and four seats, it appeared to be a sedan but also features a sloping rear end which gives it a coupe style appearance. Many manufacturers, including rivals, pieced together their very own ‘Gran Coupes’.

Now in its second generation and soon to be entering its third, each Final Edition sports AMG trim which includes unique side skirts, front bumper, air intakes and rear spoiler, plus they have added a diamond inspired front grill similar to ones found across the range. A choice of alloys is said to be available, starting from 18-inch AMG five-spoke lightweight alloys through to 19-inch AMG multi-spoke rims.

Inside, standard and optional features transition their way through the ranks as does similar styling to match the exterior. Final Edition lettering appears inside the cabin most notably on the floor mats and the wing as a considerate reminder. Choice of colours is unknown

An estate or shooting brake variant is available in Final Edition Trim, however to its decline in popularity in markets such as China and the US, it’s highly possible that no successor is on the table for this body style.

All models have stock engines with no increase in power, although each one is equipped with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Direct Control Suspension and Multibeam LED headlights.

Final Edition models will come in at a $9,131 (AED 33,537) upgrade to 2017 models, to an overall total price of around $77,000 (AED 282,800).
