2018 Hyundai Azera to launch in the UAE this May

After launching successfully in its home market of South Korea, 2018 Hyundai Azera sedans are destined for Middle Eastern shores in the next couple of weeks with a wide variety of new features.

Entering its sixth generation, the 2018 Hyundai Azera sports a restyled exterior with the brands token Cascading front grille, updated front and rear lights, chromed tipped tailpipes, different rims on top of additional creases in the bodywork to give the sedan a fluid exterior to stand out in its segment.

On top of the new styling cues inside and out, 2018 Hyundai Azera’s bring a selection of new technology including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, front memory seats, panoramic sunroof, seven-inch infotainment system and a wireless charging mat.

2018 Hyundai Azera sedans will be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 exclusively in the Middle East. Rated at 240 horsepower, power is sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

In other markets, the 2018 Azera ships with a variety of engines. A 2.4-litre four cylinder petrol unit and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. A second 3-litre motor is also offered dubbed 3.0 LPi and is said to be exclusively provided to rental companies.

A wide variety of safety features is available including blind spot detection mirrors, smart cruise control, around view monitor, lane keep assist and more.

Sources peg the new Azera to launch next month in the Middle East with deliveries expected shortly afterwards.
