2018 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera spied

Here is a list of things that happen at the Nurburgring: 24-hour races, regular races, track days, taxi rides and of course manufacturers got to the German track to test their latest creation. One of the most recent sightings comes from Lamborghini and their powerful “base-level” Huracan Superleggera.

Translate Superleggera from Italian to English and you get super light, which is exactly what this Huracan is. 100 kilos has been removed due to carbon fibre replacing heavier materials as well as a possible race car inspired interior with roll cage and bucket seats.

An all-wheel drive system also weighs in heavier than a rear-wheel drive train which could push the Italian manufacturer to implement one as they did with the LP 580 2. Powering said wheels is the same 5.2-litre V10 petrol motor possibly with additional horsepower. We reckon at least 50 hp.

Other incoming changes point towards upgraded brakes, larger wheels, cuts and additional parts to the body, included is the large rear spoiler which may or may not be fixed, unique front bumper and bigger rear diffuser with exclusive exhaust tips which are said to make quite an earth shattering noise.

Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera models are destined for Paris later this year and will be unveiled without all that camo. No price or official release date is known. The test appear’s as a closed roof version, but with a spyder version of the Huracan joining the ranks expect a Superleggera version in future.
