2019 Jeep Scrambler spotted getting down and dirty

Spotted navigating the Rubicon Trail, pictures of the 2019 Jeep Scrambler have surfaced online. The pictures don’t show off much of the upcoming model apart from that it will be available in at least on configuration; Crew Cab.

With a striking resemblance to the iconic Wrangler, the Scrambler does have a unique cab configuration and a custom hardtop roof. The most noticeable difference between the two is the bed behind the cab which is fitted with a different bumper. Instead of being bolted to the back, the spare tyre is now located underneath the bed.

Regarding power, the 2019 Jeep Scrambler should be offered with three different engines. The base model will most likely be shipped with a 3.6-litre V6 good for 285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque. The new turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor will most likely be available too with 270 hp and 399 Nm of torque as well as a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 good for 260 hp and 598 Nm of torque.

Jeep has yet to reveal the model in full and remain tight-lipped about the grand unveiling as the model has still yet to shed its heavy cloak. Previously, Jeep has suggested the 2019 Jeep Scrambler will go into production later this year and will arrive in showrooms in April 2019 at least in the States.

Once the model does hit the market, it will have stiff competition from the likes of Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota and their Colorado, Ranger and Tacoma models respectively.
