2019 Mercedes G-Class spotted

Over the past 40 years, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV hasn’t changed much at all. Maybe a few touch ups here and there but with such an iconic body much like the Wrangler has, why fix what isn’t broke right?

2019 G-Class models have recently been spotted in the looking unsurprisingly similar to current models. However, take a look closer and you’ll notice that there are noticeable differences.

For example, the model snapped appears wider than normal which leads us to believe cabin space is increased which is always a welcome addition.

Rumours also have the vehicle pegged as going on a serious diet. Allegedly losing an astonishing 408 kilos, most of that weight is suggested to have been shaved off from the so-called heavy doors of today’s models

Powering all four wheels is said to be similar engines that are readily available; V8 and V12 BiTurbo engines. A twin-turbocharged V6 motor could join the mix somewhere down the line and all current trim levels will be available; G 500, G 63 AMG and G 65 AMG.

Interior options are already luxurious enough and it’ll be very hard for the German manufacturer to enhance it unless they whack in the latest infotainment system, smoother leather seats or even a Blu-Ray player

Latest models of the G-Class are currently rolling out at the time of writing around the world, expect these models to launch mid to late 2018 with a slightly higher price than current models.
