Aston Martin DB11 Volante drops its roof

Those who have been begging Aston Martin for a new drop-top sports car, here is your answer. Now the third variant after the V12 and V8 DB11, the Aston Martin DB11 Volante is easily one of the most stunning convertibles to go on sale next year.

The Aston Martin DB11 Volante is more than a pretty face

Available in three elegant shades of paint; Black Silver, Grey Silver and Bordeaux Red, the new fabric roof can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h and takes just 14 seconds to recess and 16 seconds to adequately cover all occupants.

Aston Martin has pushed the fabric roof to the absolute limit before offering the model to customers. Undergoing harsh testing ranging from traversing Death Valley to the Arctic Circle, the quaint British manufacturer compressed ten years of use into just one month to ensure customers receive a high-quality product.

Based on the fixed-roof model, the Aston Martin DB11 Volante hides a lighter and stronger aluminium platform compared to the DB9 Volante. Not only that, the convertible sports car benefits from a larger boot which is said to be 20% larger.

Driving the rear wheels is a potent twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 borrowed from AMG. Churning out 503 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic gearbox allows the drop top convertible to launch to 100 km/h in 4 seconds before maxing out at 301 km/h.

Deliveries for the Aston Martin DB11 Volante are expected to commence early 2018 with prices starting at $ 216,495 or AED 795,208 in the US.

Dubicars.com has new Aston Martin DB11 and used Aston Martin DB11 for sale in Dubai.
