Infiniti refresh 2018 Q50 again

Infiniti may have shown off an updated version of the 2017 Q50 in Paris a few months ago. However, the Japanese premium brand doesn’t feel that’s enough and is updating the luxury sedan again for Geneva in 2018 trim.

A single image has been released of the 2018 Q50 showing off its slightly adjusted front end with new fog lights and a few additional lines. But the enhancements don’t stop there,

Inside, Second generation Direct Adaptive Steering from Infiniti finds its way inside which now has no physical connection to the front two wheels. Infiniti claims the updated system allows for an enhanced driving experience by offering smoother operation, more direct response and easier manoeuvrability all while being upgraded to suit self-driving options better.

2018 Q50 sedans will be the first of Infiniti vehicles to play host to autonomous driving features with the brand implementing ProPilot Assist. ProPilot controls active lane keep assist cruise control and forward emergency braking with a press of a button.

Power units for 2018 models remain identical to the 2017 lineup. Four-cylinder turbos and twin turbo 3-litre power plants powering the rear wheels with as much as 400 horsepower in top trim.

Infiniti is set to reveal the 2018 Q50 in full in a few days time in Switzerland alongside the Infiniti Q60 Black S Concept.

With their debut in a few days time, 2018 models should hit showrooms later this year in America and early 2018 elsewhere.
