Next generation Dubai number plates to be auctioned off next month

HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the reveal of the new Dubai number plates design, new lettering codes and an open auction where the new generation plates will be sold.

During the auction, the RTA will be auctioning off a number of premium Dubai number plates consisting of one, two, three, four and five digits with double A codes.

Plates on offer include 10, 12, 100, 333, 786, 1000, 8888 and 55555 plus two others that will be revealed at a later date.

The auction will be held on the 9th of December at the Westin Hotel located in Habtoor City.

As of writing, dual-code number plates will only be available to purchase via open auction.

How much will the new Dubai number plates cost?

Those interested in being one of the first to own the new dual code Dubai number plates can expect to pay AED 35 for the standard short black plates and AED 50 for long plates.

Those opting to buy the coloured plate will need to pay AED 400.
